I would like to introduce you all to my recently made original character, Charlotte Evans. 27, she’s an assistant to various fashion magazines - always wanting to be a model but not believing she had what it took. Liking to photograph with a vintage camera in her spare time, Charlotte is quiet, kind, silly, loyal, very sensitive, and an exercise nut. An only child, her parents were killed in a boating accident when she was thirteen - she tries to forget about it, it’s a subject she won’t talk about unless she’s incredibly close with someone.

No matter how tanked she was getting, Dinah knew when she was getting hit on, but she was too drunk to even try and stop him - to say something, that and he was pretty hot but she had never been this kind of girl - here she was getting ahead of herself and assuming things. Biting down on her lip and resisting the urge to roll her eyes, the young woman glances his way. “It would be nice not to be late on rent.”

Her chin rests in the palm of her hand, watching Luke get up from the stool. She knew how Gotham was at night, she knew how tough it was and she knew she could take care of herself but did he know that? “That would be great, no funny business mister.” Her words come out a bit slurred, making her chuckle. “You know what I mean.” She moves to get up, trying to keep her balance.

Luke chuckled. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time he took a woman home intoxicated only to bang her brains out. The difference between this time is the women were the aggressors and wanted whereas Diana wants to rest. Cage was respectful of her wishes.“ Ain’t nothin’ funny about Luke Cage.” He chuckled.

Moments later…Cage was back in his hotel in Gotham and laid the blonde in the hotel bedroom to get some much needed sleep. He kept watch as the news was updating Gotham citizens of the disturbing break out at Arkham Asylum. The crazies at Arkham were far different than the crazies he dealt with in Harlem.

Dinah respected him, respected that he didn’t try and take advantage of her - he was a true gentleman and that was rare these days. His laugh made her smile, noting silently to herself that she would have to consider his business offer when she woke up. When they arrived back to the hotel and she was placed on the bed, she mumbled a low thank you before passing out as soon as her head hit the pillow. The young canary wasn’t sure what time it was when she woke up, taking a minute to remember where she was.

Groaning and placing a hand to her forehead, Dinah keeps her eyes closed tight. “Thanks for letting me sleep, I appreciate it. Sorry I was so bitchy earlier.”

She can’t help but chuckle at that, shaking her head. “It’s Dinah, not Diana - but that happens more than you think. It’s a pleasure to meet you Nate.” She had zoned out for a moment on a random motorcycle, not knowing it was his. Seeing the stranger move away from the bike, it was almost like they were forced, the movements just didn’t seem natural.

“That motorcycle yours?”

“My bad,” Nate chuckled. He could imagine that happened to Dinah a lot. He nodded as he let the stranger go. The man ran away screaming. He was scared and confused. “Yeah, that’s mine. It seems like someone is always trying to steal it,” he admitted. The silver fading from his eyes. Returning them to blue.

“I don’t do this often,” Cristina blurted when the other woman sat down across from her. “I mean, I don’t just date around, and I think that’s important for you to know.”

Cristina dragged her finger along the menu items, deciding quickly so she could get back to focusing on the woman in front of her who was her date. “The tacos here I’ve heard are pretty good,” she said, closing the menu. “How about we get tacos and nachos and we split?” She suggested, wanting any reason to be closer to the other.

Closing her menu and placing it back down on the table, Renee watches her closely for a moment or two. Grinning at the other woman’s words, she speaks. “You’re a genius, that’s brilliant! Smart and gorgeous, winning combination. So Cristina, tell me a bit about yourself - no pressure.”

The brunette felt a blush begin to rise on her cheeks at Renee’s words. “Well, aren’t you a sweetheart?” She laughed, clasping her hands together to give them something to do rather than twiddle nervously in her lap. “I’m a fashion designer,” she began. “I enjoy lazy Sundays and white wine…and I’m very excited to get to know my beautiful date.”

That’s amazing.” She can’t stop smiling, bowing her head as she relaxes in her seat. “You’re the sweetheart here. I’m in the police academy, I’m all about Mexican food, I don’t let the men in the academy push me around or make god awful jokes.”

Helena scoots close to Jade, now they’re knee to knee and she’s holding her hand gently - squeezing it as she listens to the other woman speak. “I’ve felt the same way and I thought it would go on forever, the emptiness didn’t replace the pain - I think it only made it worse.

I’m here for you Jade, you’re safe and you have family even if you don’t think you do. You’ve got me and Harley and Dinah, oh and Renee. What can I do?”

Joseph had been in Gotham city for a few months, overseeing the startup of a car manufacturing plant that his corporation had located there.  During that time, he had set up a ‘safe house’ of sorts, in case some sort of disaster struck and he needs a place to hole up.  It was an old warehouse, in a pretty much empty part of the city, a contractor from out of state brought in to do the work, pouring concrete walls on the inside, a roof as well.  In case times were not,..to bad, there was what looked like an office/break room that he could stay in, but, if it were really bad, below that space, a fully stocked and supplied bunker was built, the entrance secured and hidden so that only he could access it.  He had hoped that he would never have to use the place, who would?  But, as it turns out, days before he was set to return home, it happened, a nationwide cyber attack of some sort.  So now, after grabbing his ‘Bug Out Bag’ from the closet of the hotel room he had been staying in, Joseph is trying to make his way across the city to his refuge, driving was out of the question, most modern vehicles were out of commission, and even though his had ‘sterilized’ micro chips to protect it from some sort of hacking, the streets were blocked by dead cars.  As he creeps along, avoiding people the best he can, he thinks, “Wish I were armed, but, the laws in this city are so tight, I would more likely be in jail by now if I had any sort of firearm on me.”

Joseph had come out of one alleyway, and was crossing the street to another, when he spotted a car still functioning.  He thinks, “Well, there is bound to be the odd one that still runs, maybe they had the battery unhooked for some reason and the chip had no power when the hack happened,..who knows how long that will last though.”  He was about to go down the other alley when he spots the attractive woman, with a crossbow, wave the car down and start talking to the driver.  He thinks, “Well, that is something you don’t see every day, come to think of it, wish I had a cross bow myself at the moment.”  Hearing the conversation, he thinks, “A bit impractical to be pushing that bike along, it is dead weight for the foreseeable future.”

She groans when the person declines; probably because of the giant crossbow she’s wielding, backing up as they try and continue to get away. Helena groans in frustration, flipping the driver the bird even though they couldn’t see it. The young woman moves to continue on, stopping when she sees the man, she’s a woman who keeps to herself a lot of the time. Previously having taken her bike back from against a dead car, she settled it back down again, crossbow down and pointing towards the ground. Approaching him may not be the best plan but that’s what she’s going with. Zipping her motorcycle jacket up, she speaks when she gets closer. “Hey there. Do you have any idea what the fuck is going on?” A pause. “Sorry, not the best way to approach things. Hi, I’m Helena and don’t worry, I only shoot scum bags.”

“Helena told me some stuff, yeah. Definitely a thrill seeker and definitely crazy. Why thank ya, it helps when the voices in my head be quiet. Ya gonna thrill me?”

“Well, do you want to be thrilled? I suppose I could have fun with you. But most people get somewhat wary when you have the power to make people do, think, and believe whatever you want to make them do, think, or believe.” 

“For example, you can’t move until you blow another bubble.”

“I know what it’s like; I’ve been through a lot where I’ve had power taken away from me and where I’ve been used - but I’m crazy and any good girl wants some thrillin’ now and then.”

Harley chomps on her gum, working very diligently to begin to blow another bubble; just staring at this young woman, reaffirming to herself even more that she was one crazy chick; she had given up on getting her old self back.

Open - Model AU - 18+

plot: Edward is a very well respected model, at the top of his game but the one thing the media can’t understand is why he doesn’t indulge in any of the perks of being a top model, he doesn’t go to many parties, late night functions or even friendly get togethers. His personal life is very well kept under wraps, not much is known about him other than his job. He’s very polite, quiet but not much of a talker.

You- can be a new photographer, or recently been employed to be Edwards personal assistance or anyone who’s new to the fashion industry.

Edward posed a few more times, this was his second photoshoot today and he didn’t look like it had taken anything out of him at all. He knew he had a new personal assistance to join him today, honestly he couldn’t as a little nervous about it because his last assistance Alice knew everything he liked or needed to do without him saying a word. He kept his eyes on the camera, remaining professional even though someone just entered the studio, looking a little overwhelmed.

Charlotte was definitely frazzled and she wasn’t going to hide it, there was no point. She was running majorly late, that or her watch was wrong but she doubted that. She hated that she was interrupting this photo shoot but that model was her new boss and she wasn’t exactly making the greatest impression. Sipping at her coffee, she glances around the huge studio - moving to go look out the window and onto the busy city street below. The one thing? Her stiletto heels could be heard crossing over with each step she took. Dammit.

When Edward watched his new assistant practically stumble into the room, it didn’t fill him with much confidence for future engagements. Edward knew he had a very busy schedule and that was why he had an assistant to manage it all for him, he was mentally cursing his sister Alice for going on holiday for 6 weeks. One of the schedulers approached Edward about having to attend at least one catwalk showing this year, it was never Edward’s thing to be at any social event but he nodded, knowing he had to satisfy the publishers somehow even if his work was better than most of the other models in this building.

She really wanted to not exist in this moment, she just hoped that she wouldn’t do anything worse or embarrass herself more. The view of the city was beautiful and it was something you could get lost in but she didn’t have time for that - she was on the clock and this job was important. Charlotte turns her back to the window, slipping her hands into her pockets as she watches the photo shoot progress - but she had never really been to many of those. Taking some deep breathes, the young woman stays where she is, the caffeine wasn’t helping her nerves at all. Her phone was buzzing, taking it out of her purse and answering it. There’s harsh whispering. “Yes I know, I just arrived. I received the scheduling last night and added what needed to be added at the instruction of a previous assistant.” A pause. “I’m capable of doing my job, I’ve done tons of these.”

Elizabeth could stare at that face forever, for the rest of her days, that’s exactly what she wanted to do. Perched on the arm of the couch, the young woman frowns as he looks up at her. “I know it is Alex, that’s why I used it.” A pause. “Sorry sorry, I just have a really bad feeling in the pit of my stomach and I can’t shake it.” Betsy smiles some and if only for a moment, brows furrowed together as she keeps her eyes on him. “……. Do you believe that everything is fine, that it will be?”

there’s nothing he hates more than to see her WORRY. in fact his immediate response is to slide over closer, hand taking her hand, his eyes filled with the love and care that his heart bursts with for her. “I promise it’ll be fine, Bets. You know me, I never back down on a promise.” squeezing her hand, he smiles gently, reaching his free hand to brush his fingers down his cheek. “I don’t want to make you anxious, though. If you want me to back out of this project, I’ll do it. You just say the word.”

She seems so out of it, almost like she’s on a cloud where nothing can worry her, except this cloud brings her worries with her. When he scoots closer and takes her hand in his own, that’s when she squeezes it, afraid that the worry is more than evident on her face. “I know you don’t Alex and sometimes that’s the problem, you’re way too kind and you’re so…… you’re really ahead of your time, you know? No no no, I couldn’t do that to you, it wouldn’t be right. This project means a lot to you.”

She would laugh at that, she would but she’s in no mood to laugh. Blinking back the tears in her eyes, Harley speaks. “Puddin’ and I broke up. ……. Why were ya in the drunk tank?”

“Yeah maybe, this city is nuts, about as nuts as the voices in my head. He was done with me, some of his goons threw me out.” A pause, chuckling dryly. “New start, new Harley! I got my own place and I got a hyena, he’s my baby.”

People don’t care about me, I’m a criminal and so is Mista J - people don’t care about criminals.” She sighs, she knew he was just trying to be nice and understanding but she also wondered when he had started to care if at all. “I don’t know, was just gonna walk and drink on the way home. If I can bring this margarita in your car, you’ve got yourself a deal.”

Bruce cared, cared more than most i Gotham when it came to criminals. In his position in the city, he did his best to make sure all criminals had a second chance to be better. And he wanted that for Harley. Hence the check in.

They had come far from that night when she was in the water, just letting herself drown when he pulled her out and then cuffed her. There’s a lot of reasons to hate him, partly because she knew the other part of him, but it was kind of him to do this. “Pinkie promise. Above this old restaurant but Doc, he’s the owner, he doesn’t judge me or anything, he’s a good one.” A nod of her head, sipping her drink as she slowly moves to stand up.

She smirks some at his comment, having gone to a bar to drown her sorrows, and that was when she ran into him. Glancing over at him, Charlotte raises her shot glass. “Hell, I’ll drink to anything. I don’t think you told me your name.” She was a tad drunk by this point but just a tad.

She chuckles at the face he makes, grinning. “Really? Thank you. Tequila is my absolute favorite, but I can see that it isn’t yours.” A pause, slamming her glass back down on the bar. “Thinking is gonna give me a headache. Did I tell you my name?”

"Oh my, no you did not, please tell me" he said smiling down at her as he then waved at the barman to get him closer so she could order what she wants. He was here after having to go trough a long trial, not for himself but for his trash father.

She smiles, watching as the bartender come closer. “Oh, thank you! The biggest bottle of tequila you’ve got please and don’t worry….” Charlotte glances over to him. “…. you don’t have to pay for it. I’m Charlotte.”

Lucius found her a bit bold but he didn't mind, he shook her hand gently as he ordered a mojito. "Pleased to meet you but i assume you had a bad day if you're gonna drink tequila" he chuckled a bit trying to make her comfortable

“Pleased to meet you too. Yep, someone stole my camera and the film for it so….” Charlotte sighs, running a hand through her hair. There’s a smile at his light seeming mood, hoping that she wasn’t making him uncomfortable. “I’m sorry, I can be a bit too much when I drink. Guessing you had a bad day too?”

"Damn that sucks, sorry about that" he told her about the camera as he then raised an eyebrow at her comment. "Please, you're fine !" He reassured her softly as he then shrugged at her question. "I don't know honestly, how would you feel after going trough a trial about your psycho dad ?" He asked her, he was tipsy so he he would talk more easily

A shrug of her shoulder, though she appreciated his compassion and understanding. “It really does, I’m gonna see if my friends can help me find it or if I can get a new one.” Charlotte is silent for a moment, scooting around on the bar stool and making it so she can fully face him. “Your dad’s the - /that guy?/ The one that’s been in the newspapers and on the news…?”

'Black Canary' Movie in the Works at HBO Max From Misha Green; Jurnee Smollett to Reprise Role

A Black Canary movie from writer Misha Green is in early development at HBO Max, sources tell Collider, though the exciting news was first reported by Cinelinx.

Jurnee Smollett will reprise her role as Dinah Lance, aka Black Canary, who was first introduced in last year’s Birds of Prey movie. The character was depicted as a burlesque singer who rescues Harley Quinn from an attempted abduction and later becomes the driver for crime lord Roman Sionis. She eventually betrays Roman and reveals her metahuman ability of supersonic-level screaming.

Sue Kroll will produce the Black Canary movie under her Kroll & Co. Entertainment banner, having also produced Birds of Prey. It’s unclear whether Green will direct the Black Canary film as well, or merely write the script, but either way, the project is a long ways off, as Green has several other projects in the works that she must tend to first. Green and Smollett previously indicated that they’d love to further explore the character of Black Canary while doing press for their HBO series Lovecraft Country, which was abruptly canceled after one season.

This was do or die and she wasn’t that surprised, they were pawns in a chess game and Amanda Waller was the queen who controlled it all. It’s raining some and she can hear the screams of the people, all these innocent people that didn’t deserve to die. Harley may be screwed up in the head and forever changed but that didn’t mean she didn’t have a heart. Holding the staff tightly in her hand, she struts forward confidently towards the large….. starfish or whatever it was. And she wasn’t the only one.

She was surprised they hadn’t been blown up yet. Assessing the situation, Harley watches the squad, seeing them all get into different positions to distract and disarm - her attention back on the large monster before her, going into a run with her spear upwards.

Joker shrugged at her question, "A little persuasion and fireworks." He grinned. He always loved a good show. "Let's get ya back to where you belong, hmm?" He said moving to get her seated in a chair and buckle her in.

"Ya ready Princess?" She truly was one and his Princess at that. He sat beside her and took her hand in his. All felt right with the world now that the King and Queen of Gotham were back together.

Anything for ya Puddin’, I’m glad you got out and came to find me - I’m not gonna lie, it’s been hard without ya.” Once she’s seated and buckled in, Harley watches him closely, afraid that if she looks away - he’ll be gone. Biting down on her lip as he calls her princess, she nods.

Squeezing his hand, she rests herself against him. “I’ll make it up to ya, I promise. You and me, no one else.”
