This was do or die and she wasn’t that surprised, they were pawns in a chess game and Amanda Waller was the queen who controlled it all. It’s raining some and she can hear the screams of the people, all these innocent people that didn’t deserve to die. Harley may be screwed up in the head and forever changed but that didn’t mean she didn’t have a heart. Holding the staff tightly in her hand, she struts forward confidently towards the large….. starfish or whatever it was. And she wasn’t the only one.

She was surprised they hadn’t been blown up yet. Assessing the situation, Harley watches the squad, seeing them all get into different positions to distract and disarm - her attention back on the large monster before her, going into a run with her spear upwards.

Drive the car, don’t get caught. Drive the car, don’t get caught.

At this point it was a mantra, playing over and over inside Johnnie’s head. It was her first real job as a part of the gang. No one had taken her seriously at first, of course, she knew they didn’t take her all too seriously now, giving her the job with the highest risk even though they had sold it as the highest reward. They called her Jonny, one of very, very few females in Jokers crew, she might have been the only one now, considering the shots she was hearing from inside the asylum.

She was sitting on the hood of the car, already through half a packet of smokes as she took another long drag, her leg bouncing without thought. Adrenaline was always useful, a life on the streets had taught her that, but it was the worst when there was nothing to do but wait. What would he be like? She had only heard stories... It wasn't like she was scared, that feeling had been all but robbed from her, a life on the Narrows streets was enough to steel anyone.

Now that she was an adult, or as close to one could be at twenty, she needed a crew to run with, protection, until one day she could make a proper name for herself. The shots were getting louder, shouting could be heard, and screaming. Jonny threw the cigarette to the growing pile next to the wheel, slipping into the car seat as she drummed her fingers on the wheel.

Jessica had managed to do the impossible, she finally escaped the clutches of, Killgrave. He had controlled and abused her for years and now she was free to do whatever the hell she wanted, live life on her own terms not someone else’s. There were some things she couldn’t escape though, the flashbacks. She had so many nightmares and panic attacks that she could barely function without whiskey. And there was no fucking way she was going to counseling. That shit never worked. She knew that from dealing with them after her parents and brother were killed in a car wreck years ago. She just decided to get the fuck out of Hell’s Kitchen. New city, new life.

She grabbed only the things she needed, which wasn’t a lot. She had some cash she stole from that psychotic motherfucker, Killgrave, and took a bus right out of there. She went as far as she could with what she had, not using a lot so she could at least get a hotel room. When the bus came to the end of the line she grabbed her things then walked around for awhile until she found a place to stay, finally getting a room at a somewhat rundown hotel. She had just enough for the room with a little left over to eat on and get some booze.

After getting all set up in the room she went out, getting a slice of pizza at a local place. She was in desperate need of a shot or two after, longing for a bottle of whiskey, about to hit a liquor store when she went into the bar instead, getting a seat at the bar, ordering a few shots and requesting the bartender leave the bottle. She slammed the shots then went in for more, celebrating her freedom and actually smiling without being forced to.

She’s almost curious enough to ask which ones but remembers she’s still mad at him, still debating on leaving Gotham for good. The brunette sits at a bar, just a local spot, since she’s taken him seriously when he told her she wouldn’t be welcome at the club anymore. Not that she wants to be. But even here, he still manages to find her. The entire bar cleared when he walked in. Even the bartender.

Green hues stare blankly ahead, not daring to look at him. Through her anger she can feel her chest ache and it only frustrates her more. 

“Don’t you have a bat to go aggravate? A sidekick to go kill? A detective to kidnap? An ex to go make up with? Anything other than bothering me?”

Alice turned her head away as the orderly tried to feed her her food. She'd been refusing to eat recently so this was her punishment. "Alice, you have to eat, otherwise we'll have to do it by force." The orderly spoke, though Alice wasn't listening. Another try and the orderly got up, trying to force her mouth open.

Alice, however, was not having it. She grabs the fork, scratching at the hands on her face. Suddenly, she moved, facing the orderly. She tackled the older woman, fork raised to strike, until she was grabbed from behind, fork pulled from her grip. She struggled out of the grip from the man behind her, and before she could comprehend what was happening, a loud SLAP rang out, and she was on the floor, clutching her cheek.
