DAILY DOSAGE OF MAYONNAISE

For lunch at BSR I selected the same canteen meal option as my colleagues that I was working with that day. We discussed over lunch if Curry 36, Konnopke’s Imbiß or the canteen food has the best currywurst. The food at the BSR canteen is dished out to strict equal portions to all the workers. The same portion of food would help me sustain a half-day of physical work on the streets, yet it would send me into a 1.5hour catatonic coma whilst working in the office.

TÄGLICHE DOSIS MAYONNAISE

Zum Mittagessen bei der BSR wählte ich dasselbe Kantinen-Menü aus, wie die Kollegen, mit denen ich an diesem Tag zusammenarbeitete. Beim Essen diskutierten wir darüber, wo es die beste Currywurst gab – bei Curry 36, Konnopke’s Imbiß oder in der Kantine. Das Essen in der BSR Kantine wird auf exakt gleiche Portionen für alle ArbeiterInnen aufgeteilt. Diese Essensmenge würde mir genügen, um einen halben Tag körperlicher Arbeit auf den Straßen zu bewältigen, es würde jedoch zu einem 1,5-stündigen katatonischen Koma führen, wenn ich in einem Büro arbeiten würde.

GLITTER UNITES US ALL

While displacement itself was full of different streams of energy and ideas, there is one uniting matter at the end. Glitter popping-off from postcard packages. Making no profession, status or country exceptions. Changing reality for while of workers, managers, teacher, urbanist, architect, artists or waste researcher... Making day more shinny at BSR, ZK/U, cultural institutions, homes and public spaces. Creating special micro subculture of people with ‘shinny dot here and there’.

Contemplation and reassessment of term trash is one small purpose of these ‘glitter mail bombs’.

I would like to thank to all affected for kind understanding, and more preferably enjoying glitter gesture.

BEAUTIFUL GLITTERING TRASH During the last stage of my Artist Displacement Programme I decided to invert the situation of cleaning and created disruptive interventions with my personal litter, sprinkling it with glitter. Glitter intervenes into space, sticking to humans and objects and contaminates like radium. The diagram illustrates how I suggest that BSR apply glitter to human and material situations that are hard to deal with. I propose that every employee should be issued with a standardized small container of glitter and disperse at necessary situations in accordance to his/her judgment.

WUNDERSCHÖNER GLITZERMÜLL Während der letzten Phase meines Artist Displacement Programms, entschloss ich mich die Putzsituation umzudrehen und störende Interventionen mit meinen eigenen Abfällen zu erzeugen, indem ich sie mit Glitzer bestreute. Das Glitzer hinterlässt überall Spuren, es klebt an Menschen und Dingen und kontaminiert alles wie radioaktive Strahlen. Das Diagramm demonstriert eine Möglichkeit, wie in der BSR Glitzer eingesetzt werden könnte, um schwierige Situation zu bewältigen. Mein Vorschlag: jede/r MitarbeiterIn wird ausgestattet mit einer kleinen Dose voll Glitzer, dieses kann je nach Gebrauch und eigenem Ermessen in den verschiedensten Situationen eingesetzt werden.

MESS IS COZY A snapshot of the environment after the visitors had cooperated with trashing my studio/living space during the open-studio. Their participation created a unique environment for a transient time, in which visitors were very relaxed and comfortable within the environment.

UNORDNUNG IST KUSCHELIG Ein Schnappschuss meiner Atelierwohnung, welche an einem Openhaus von den BesucherInnen gemeinsam zugemüllt wurde. Ihre Teilnahme hat für eine kurze Zeit eine einzigartige Umgebung erschaffen, in der alle sehr entspannt waren und sich wohlfühlten.
