(he laughs and its so genuine and catching that almost miss the fact that he called you his friend, with such little hesitance too.)

*At the sign of 'friend' their mask slips the slightest bit, their brow twitching upwards for a second... You reason they were surprised*

*After a moment of regaining their composure they begin to sign*

(Thank you... I'm... happy that you think of me that way.)

*They take a moment to mull over their words and then sign to you once again*

(You are also one of the only people I needn't use my voice for... It seems those of us who know how to sign are few and far between)

*They let their mask fall, choosing to trust you. Their expression almost looks.. sheepish as they hurriedly sign to you*

*Their left arm folds inwards to form an 'old tree', while their right hand forms an R and goes up and down to represent 'leaves'.

Similar to the sign for autumn, you realize*

*As they sign the letters to their name, the smell of iron suddenly invades your nose. You are certain that it is unmistakably.. blood*
