At this point I've given up on this whole thing. I mean, seriously. I personally don't see anything getting done besides a few "Sorry everyone's working/has school". Yes I understand it, but there is also the idea of why isn't there admins playing e-mail tag, or rather skype tag? I do not see any progress getting done, and I may not continue to follow along with this idea. I'll still watch for updates, but this just seems like a dead end.
Okay so I think we're getting a bit hot and heavy over in ye ol' inbox so I'm going to step in here and say a couple things;
1. Email/Skype tag? It would be very nice of you if more specifics were given in what exact game we're playing here. Maybe you'd rather Twister, or Scrabble? Please be more specific as to what you'd like us to do.
2. The active admins (Or not so, we'll admit) have not just been "busy with school". If we'd been "busy with school", we'd be much less stressed. People have been in hospital, people have had art school portfolios to re-create, some people have had family/social disruptions, and some of us are in such bad mental states we’ve been socially/emotionally crippled for a short period of time and are forced to take a break by doctors. As a close friend of all these people, some of them myself, it's my duty to not force them to do something that's meant to be a fun exercise of community spirit and entertainment. Destroying them stress-wise is not a good idea and not the reason we decided to embark on this vast, seemingly bottomless venture.
3. Keep in mind we're all like 3 years old so for a lot of us, the attention we've gotten is extremely overwhelming. Far too overwhelming for some of us in higher positions of authority, such as Admin C, who is quitting for reasons she has stated. We have a rough idea of what the beta kids felt like.
4. I know you're trying to motivate us, but "ur not doing ur job im leaving" is quite counterproductive. If I was in the position to host such events as we planned (and still plan on, mind you) doing, I would. But I lack a webcam, and I lack the time. So. We're in quite a pickle here, aren't we? For the only solution we can muster, read on to point 5
5. We're trying our very best, and we'll do as much as we can. However, we may end up handing the huge responsibility of being admins over to other capable hands. In which case, we'll publish an application form and pick from applicants, or find close, trusted, interested friends. However we go about it, we'll do everything we can to keep this group running.
6. If you don't wish to be a member and stick around for the imminent event of Homestuckcon, you are not forced to. We ain't bindin’ no homestuck by chains here. There's no Red Miles, or need for gold rings. You are FREE TO GO, if you wish to. But honestly, hon, the only thing you need to give up on is the chances of me not writing 16 pages when replying to an ask.
