I saw someone on Twitter do a similar format with Jabber so I wanted to do that with Yuya since I draw him so different 😭

Fan design liberties taken so far he may as well be an oc

Even as a kid when I first watched yugioh arc v, I always thought Yuya’s outfit had hits of alternative culture to it so that’s what went into my design—I think politically and a tad aesthetically he’d be punk

Kokom was an exchange student from overseas and the family that took him in was Byakuya and Senku !

They started off as friends and naturally grew feelings for each other overtime and were in an established relationship before the petrification

When Senku finally finds Kokom’s statue though and revives him, Kokom wakes up with no memories of him or any other person in his life—like every single person he ever knew was wiped from his brain

Senku doesn’t tell Kokom about their relationship and instead lets Kokom assume they were just close friends before everything

Kokom is (of course) wary of Senku at first because he’s not sure if he’s being truthful, but he gradually realizes that Senku is earnest and seems to know him really well, so he accepts that he isn’t lying

Kokom still remembers himself—the knowledge he has, his personality, his likes and fears, etc etc—it’s just people he can’t recall

So while focusing on his goal of reviving humanity, Senku also makes a secondary goal of perfecting the miracle fluid in hopes of it mending Kokom’s memories in full

Yearner Senku for the win.
