Yes and yes. Arabs are not called settlers because the political entities that pushed the majority of them into the WB in the first place are no longer relevant (Jordan ceded any legal claim to the WB post its loss of the war; the Arab factions that declared war on Israel in 48 are long gone), so by ironic technicality, there is no "official" political entity that theyre settling for or in the name of.

Yes and no. There is a distinction between "settlement" and "outpost". Settlements are legally recognized by the state and they are exclusively in Area C which is under israeli jurisdiction by the Oslo Accords. Outposts are illegal, not recognized by the state, and tend to be positioned in Area B and the whacky ones sometimes try to establish them in Area A too. Sometimes the schizos will try establishing outposts in Area C too, usually on private property of Arabs. While outposts are illegal, theyre can sometimes be the first step before the settlements: once an outpost gets legally recognized by the state, it morphs in status into a settlement (e.g., 'Eli). It doesnt happen often but there is precedent to that, exclusively in Area C, for now [ominously].

Large and long lived settlements like Ariel, Ma'ale Edomim, Betar 'Elit etc managed to grew larger and larger and today are considered full fledged cities rather than settlements. They're still settlements though legally speaking, but lots of israelis won't refer to them as such, not for ideological purposes but just technically due to their size and status. As for "settlers" that's also in the eye of the beholder. When it comes to ppl living in the aforementioned places for me personally the first thing that pops into my head isn't "settler", because of said "city" status.

Thank you for not just saying the reading problem is caused by not teaching phonics based reading system. They replaced phonics with whole reading in the US in 80s-90s but it began shifting back to phonics around the 2000s. However despite phonics being back it is still scapegoated as the only reason people suck at reading instead of addressing all the other problems. It drives me up the wall.

I think its caused by retard parents who dont give half a shit abt their retard kids and probably themselves never read anything that isnt an instructions manual on the back of a pasta package
