Actually u know what this specifically is so aggravating to me because I see ppl both online and irl talking abt how reading is Cool Again and how many books genz buys and muh booktok and what not, but when u look inside of these statements u discover that 99% of the books ppl r reading are either literal mom porn A Court of Cock and Balls or YA fanfic I read on ao3 when I was 12. Did you ever face antisemitism abroad?

Once. When i was in Korea I was staying at a hostel with my friend and we had to share a room with 2 French bitches who were totally fine with us until they found out were Israelis. They would put the AC on like 15C at night in our tiny dorm room and they ofc slept on the top bunk beds and let us freeze at the bottom where cold air pools. I asked them to turn the temp up because it was genuinely crazy to keep a room the size of 4 large suitcases on 15C at night and they rudely refused. They also kept the AC controller in their beds so we couldn't get to it. My friend begged me not to make a scene but one night after having Enough of this kind of tomfoolery (me manually turning off the ac and them turning it on again with their controller) and after several freezing sleepless nights, i pulled the plug on the AC and told them I respect their passive aggressive european tendencies but I am aggressive aggressive with 0 european tendencies and dared them to come down from their beds and plug the ac back in. Needless to say they never did and we finally managed to sleep in normal human temperature. I allowed them to use the ac when we weren't in the room and they were very good girls abt not turning it on at night from that point on <3

The moral of the story is always threaten the French because theyre cowards + antisemitism can be cured by threats of great violence! Especially against the French
