i've kinda said it before but i think part of my enjoyment of mundane hypnosis stuff is because i like when there's a lot of truth to it, when it just genuinely actually makes sense and i just agree with what's being said already. i mean don't get me wrong i still love roleplaying and fantasy scenarios. obviously. and it's fun playing along with or being convinced of something that isn't completely true. but it just really hits me when the logic of it is sound, when there's no arguing with it, when i don't have to suspend my disbelief or pretend at all. cuz i mean, there's no getting out of that, right? there's no reason to resist, there's no reason it shouldn't work. it's just real. and there's really something about taking in that idea. taking in the idea that like, you really should just let yourself be hypnotized. that you really should just relax. and that it's going to happen. that it is happening. it's so simple, it's so stupidly simple. i'm obsessed with it.
i think a lot of the dominance people associate with hypnosis is about accepting someone else's truths, or even their lies, having someone twist your reality, and like, again, that can definitely be sexy. but i think there's something about a hypnotist using statements that you genuinely can't argue with, and directing your attention by only focusing on really basic simple truths instead of rushing to get you to accept some big declaration with a lot of weight to it and heavy implications. just taking you through it step by step, because each step is small and easy and you can follow the individual steps without having to give much up, without having to accept anything too crazy. it's that slow and gradual and gentle kind of control. that way of managing you. the way that it's kind of a delicate process, but one that they've practiced and still have confidence in, the kind of confidence they don't have to flaunt too much, you can just feel it. and sure, you can make it about manipulation, about someone frog boiling you, stringing you along until you will accept the more extreme stuff, if you still wanna keep it dark. but i get horny about it even without that. it just literally feels good to be hypnotized. that fact alone is exciting. it never stops being crazy to me. it's like an actual sensation to me. it's like really good asmr. just the thought that the right voice and the right words can make me physically feel something, like, that's amazing! right? isn't it just crazy that someone can say something'll happen and it'll happen?? doesn't it feel interesting when you react to something without thinking about it?? it's that kinda stuff that really gets me the most.
