HONEY-CRYPT'S WRITE-TOBER (DAY 8)

★ broomstick

★ imagine elliott forming a relationship with witch!farmer and getting invited to ride their broomstick for the first time!

★ he would be shaking like a leaf when he hops on it, he doesn't quite understand how a broomstick can fly while supporting the weight of one person... let alone two people. and elliott was a pretty beefy guy under all his pretty clothes.

★ “are you sure this will work?" he asks the farmer. they nod to him and reassure them that they had strong enough magic to maintain the broomstick's speed with them on it, "i got this! this will be fun!"

★ elliott nearly gets his mini ellies smashed by the sudden upward thrust of the broomstick against his pelvis, quickly wrapping his arms around the farmer's waist

★ the pair fly over the many sights of stardew valley, such as the gem sea and the mountain summit; elliott is awestruck by the view… as well as the company

★ they fly for about half an hour before the farmer lands them at the beach, elliott almost pukes from the descend

★ “you HAVE to let me fly with you again!” he would beg the farmer, “that was simply magnificent!”

HONEY-CRYPT’S WRITE-TOBER (DAY 7)

★ hayride

One of Elliott's fondest childhood memories was the hayride at the yearly town fair. The texture of the hay in his hands and against his clothes brought a smile on his face. It was one of the few times his family acted like one, his mother laughing gingerly while his father splashed her with some hay. Seeing the town landmarks and sights from the tractor always seemed brighter than the times Elliott would pass them on foot. On difficult days, the redhead would yearn for the hay, to go back to those joyous moments in life.

At the monthly community meeting, Mayor Lewis asked the attendees to pitch out ideas for the upcoming Stardew Valley Fair. Elliott raised his hand and suggested to the crowd, "What about a hayride?"

The mayor beamed at his suggestion, "Oh, that's a great idea, Elliott! I'll see if I can get the farmer to run that for the fair."

Elliott's stomach tightened with butterflies, a giddy smile stuck on his face throughout the night after the meeting. The fair couldn't come soon enough.

The writer wore his best fall clothes for the fair, a red flannel and dark blue jeans. He tied his hair back in a loose ponytail, the idea of getting hay stuck in his hair was one he didn't wish to make a reality. Elliott was one of the first people to the fair, his emerald green eyes scanning the setup for the hayride.

And there it was, that glorious hayride. The back of the local farmer's tractor was filled to the brim with hay. Sucking on a caramel apple, the farmer noticed Elliott's staring and waved him over, "Hey, Elliott! Happy to see the hayride?"

"Absolutely," he answered. The farmer grinned, "The mayor told me it was your idea, it's a nice deviation from just doing the display contest," they told another bite of their caramel apple, "Want a solo ride before I open it up to the tourists?"

Elliott's eyes sparkled at the offer, "It would be my honor to christening this year's first hayride," and promptly hopped onto the back of the tractor. The farmer joined him at the front and fired up the tractor, the engine roaring to life.

Elliott watched the sights from the tractor in silent awe. He felt like a little kid again, eager to explore the world from a new lens. A fond smile graced his lips, as he enjoyed the hayride.

Just like old times.

HONEY-CRYPT’S WRITE-TOBER (DAY 6)

★ twilight

A dimly lit candle remained at the oak resin desk, accompanied by the sounds of pen scribblings. It was past midnight, the night as dark as the ink in the pot. Elliott sat alone at his desk and wrote down word after word of romantic sap. Crickets chirped outside his cabin, a friendly reminder that the world never truly went to sleep when the sun set.

Elliott stared down at his letter, admiring his penmanship and word choice. Yet, as he continued to read through it, the more distraught the redhead became until he finally tossed the paper onto the growing pile of crumbled up parchment. He ran his hands through his hair, ginger locks falling against his cheeks, as he attempted to find the right words to say, to write, to the valley’s dearest farmer.

And there he was, in the abyss of twilight, Elliott was no longer the poise and regal man he presented himself as; instead, a young boy in a dapper school uniform took his place. No older than twelve years old, the schoolboy clutched a neatly arranged love note in his hand, as he approached the locker of his classmate. Yet, before he could slip the note inside and escape undetected, an older girl—the leader of the bullies who delighted in his torment—intercepted his delivery.

“My, my!” the bully—Miranda, unfortunately one of his sister’s closest friends—hummed aloud, “What might this be?”

“Miranda, please!” Elliott cried out, as he tried to snatch the note back. Yet, the bully held it high above, farther too high for the prepubescent middle schooler. She unfurled the note and skimmed it over, her smile darkening with a familiar wickedness, “My, my, indeed. I never thought Eleanor’s little brother was a—”

That word, she said that word. The youngster’s face turned as red as his hair with anger, distraught, and most importantly embarrassment, “W- What did you call me?”

“Oh, do I need to repeat myself?” cooed the mean girl. She pushed the smaller boy against the lockers and jabbed her manicured finger into his chest, “You’re a dirty—” another jab, “—little,” then another, “—faggot.”

Stirred on by the adrenaline of rage, Elliott channeled all his strength into one swift punch, right in Miranda’s jaw. The bully yelped in a mixture of pain and surprise, a sickly ‘crunch!’ echoing throughout the hallway. Elliott stood froze in place, as a few other students and a teacher rushed out of the nearby classroom at the sound of the commotion. He reached out for the love note, now sullied from Miranda’s tampering, and sprinted off towards the exit.

Out the door and the school campus, Elliott ran and ran as far his noodle-y legs could take him. He soon collapsed by a tree outside the port district behind his school, trying his best to catch his breath. He curled up against the tree and sobbed into the love note, his tears staining the ink and blurring the name addressed to his crush.

A dirty, little faggot.

Amidst the dark twilight, Elliott sat beside his sobbing younger self, his own love letter in hand. The older man rubbed the little boy’s back gingerly, as he admired the hustle and bustle of his hometown’s port district.

“One day, you will get to be your most beautiful self,” the writer reassured the heartbroken child, “One day, you will be authentically you.”

The boy looked up at his older self, “Do you promise?”

With a confident smile, he answered:

“I most assuredly do.”

HONEY-CRYPT’S WRITE-TOBER (DAYS 1-5)

★ harvest

Before his very eyes, elliott witnessed one of—if not, the—most bountiful feast. Glazed ham, stuffing, collard greens, and other fine foods were scattered about the picnic tables. His mouth watered at the sight of such delicious food.

“Yer first Fall Feast, aye lad?” a calloused hand clasped Elliott’s flannel jacket. The writer turned his attention to the voice; it belonged to Willy, the old fisherman whose shop resided near his cabin.

“I’m afraid so,” he confessed, taken back by the amount and variety, “Today marks my first month completed in the Valley.”

“Splendid!” exclaimed the fisherman with a hearty laugh, “Much to celebrate, aye? Hope yer came with an empty stomach!”

Elliott watched Willy move towards the feast, his expression despondent. There’s not enough room in my stomach to enjoy such a beautiful feast, the writer sullied, as he took his place at the table, I hope I don’t overeat.

Oh, the wonders the human body could obtain, Elliott would later remark, as he ate himself into a food coma. It was worth it, though!

★ crisp

As a boy, Elliott would enjoy the days when enough leaves fell in his backyard and he was able to make a large pile out of them. A bright smile would grace his lips, as the sound of a crisp ‘crunch!’ would echo whenever he jumped into the leaf pile.

★ pumpkin

Elliott’s favorite dessert is pumpkin pie, particularly his nanny’s homemade pumpkin pie.

★ lantern

As the days became shorter, Elliott opted to put a small lantern outside his cabin to provide himself extra light. The lantern was portable and when he wants to enjoy some time out by the sea, the writer would take the lantern with him. It was an antique from his mother, one of the few things from his childhood residence that he took with him to Stardew Valley.

★ chill

Despite being a fall baby and having hair that resembles autumn leaves, Elliott wasn’t particular fond of fall. It wasn’t because of the holidays or anything, but because it got way too chilly way too fast! The poor redhead ran cold as is, add it chilly weather and he would be shaking like a leaf descending from a tree. No amount of layers could save Elliott from his shivers.
