HI!! HI HIH I – The man before you sits fully clothed in a beekeeper’s suit, of all things, with a sun hat and a nice little flower crown. He seems to have a shop of sorts, selling honey (if the copious jars of amber and gold surrounding him are anything to go by), and is rather delighted at your appearance. – “I’m Mell! You can call me.. Mell! Ahahaha- but no, seriously. Hello! Welcome to my little shop of miracles and sweets! Here, I’ll answer questions, sell goods, and interact with the locals! P-please excuse the clutter, I’m still trying to pay off my loans.. but I’ll be ready in no time, with some GOOD NICE SWEET ART for all of you! I put the lid on the pot trapping the weak defenseless lemon in it’s metal tomb

*Theres thumping on the insides of the pot, it gradually gets weaker….and weaker…*

Mell appears out of God knows where, his figure silhouetted in the doorway like some sort of horror movie. He trudges up and grabs the pot, lugging it away. Any anons that come near the 6'9" broad figure are given an intense stare, then pushed away. He’s.. off.

*The baby lemon is still trapped inside the pot, and terrified*

AU Splitting time then! Mell lugs this version of Lemon to his shop/apiary, only half aware of his presence. His lungs are still polluted with smog and he’s wheezing a bit, but he’ll be fine after his bath tonight. As for the lemon, he’d find himself placed in a small storage room, the lid of the pot left slightly open as Mell leaves to go clean up.

*The lemon feels the movement stop, and starts attempting to climb out of the pot*

The room is dark, save for a small light on the ceiling. Wooden shelves line the wall, each one containing jars upon jars of honey. The door is closed but not locked- however, there’s another door hidden to the back, nearer to where Lemon is.

*He eventually manages to climb out of the pot, landing on the ground with an audible splat. He stands up, walking past the rows upon rows of jars, guided only by the dim light, He eventually finds his way to the closest door and gently pushes at it*

It’s locked, kinda. There’s a latch, sealed with a lock. Key’s nowhere to be found; Mell probably has it.

Mell’s footsteps become slightly louder.

*He panicks when he hears the footsteps, scrabbling around, he eventually manages to climb up some of the shelving, its not the best hiding place, but he’s panicked, and its better than nothing*

The door swings open and in comes Mell, dragging his feet with each step. He huffs and retrieves a key from his pocket, unlocking and entering the back room.

Leaving the door ajar behind him.

*The small lemon breathes a sigh of relief, and slips through the now opened door*

It seems the storage room is connected to both the hallway, which leads to the front shop, and the mysterious room the beekeep had just entered- from which the sweet smell of honey wafted. ..and the smell of cooking meat? Suppose Mell can’t only eat honey for months.

*He perks up at the smell of the meat, disregarding the fact that Mell was probably in there. Pushing any thoughts of it possibly being a trap to the back of his mind, he goes to enter the mysterious room*

This room is bigger and stranger. Flower gardens line the wooden walls, bringing color and vibrancy to what would be an otherwise offputting environment. What looks like a stone casket lies towards the back, filled with honey. Mell has placed some hams in there to marinate, it seems, though Mell himself is nowhere to be found.

*Hes barely taking in his surroundings, mainly focused on his hunger, and the smell of the meat. He runs over to the casket, but not before subconsciously looks around for Mell. Then he reaches out to grab one of the hams, starved*

The coffin is slippery and deep, so deep. The honey is thick, as well, not suitable to swim in, and seems to pull in Lemon as soon as he touches it. Disaster is inevitable.

*He reaches out far…too far…he slips, falling into the honey, he kicks frantically, trying to swim, but it only makes him sink further, he can’t reach the sides to pull himself out again, he doesn’t know what to do. He starts screeching in his panic*

Like a nightmare, Mell’s figure appears at the side of the coffin as the little demon is pulled under. The world is thrown into shades of gold, and something in the substance lulls him to sleep. It’s changing him, bit by bit, the energies in him being replaced with new ones. The honey floods his system and transforms him.

*He watches as his vision starts to cloud, he can feel the honey fill his lungs, see the figure painted in shades of gold. He reaches out towards it as the world fades to black, his consciousness with it*

“Shhhh. Sleep.” He closes the lid of the casket, knowing that the little lemon would need shade to rest in..

Within time, he’d find himself able to breathe in the liquid, strength regained. Considerably stickier than before.

*He hears the lid close, but instead of panicking, he finds himself weirdly calm, unable to feel much physically or mentally, he lets himself rest, almost unable to move in the golden liquid*

It doesn’t take long for the magic to set in.

About a day, unlike what Mell had waited, and Lemon’s ready to face the light again. Hell, he’s probably strong enough to lift the coffin on his own, and he’s now bigger than before.

Mell’s tending to his garden, watering it with honey.

*The now transformed demon scrapes at the inside of the casket, he feels strange, and he wants to get out. NOW. He eventually manages to push up the lid a crack, sliding his hand under and pushing it off. He doesn’t only feel different, he looks different, like a catapillar out of a chrysalis*

Mell turns from his garden, tilting his head. “Oh, hello there! You’re looking right as rain; how do you feel? I know the honey does wonders to the body, ahaha..”

*upon seeing Mell, he backed away, his hands raised in front of his face in a defensive manner. It was then that he actually caught sight of his new appearance, he shook his hands thinking they were just honey coated, still backing away, then he touched his hands up to where his horns should be and felt the antennae…he didn’t know what to do but scream, panicking, everything about him was weird and different, from his height to what his very being was made of*

“Hey, no, calm down! Here-” He rushes over and yanks the cured hams out of the casket, presenting one to the honey lemon. It’s oversaturated but still meaty enough to provide nutrition, and it smells delicious. “You’ll be okay. Just eat.”

*He calms down a little, but he’s still shaken. After a few minutes he warily takes the ham, and starts to eat, still glancing up at Mell every couple of seconds though. It was delicious, one of the best things he’d ever eaten, he calmed down a lot as he ate*

Seeing as how Lemon was now the size of a small child, Mell decided he would need some more sustenance. He hadn’t planned for this, but something in his mind told him that he now had to care for this lemon-honey hybrid.

Mell went back into the storage room, opening a similar stone container and retrieving another ham, this one considerably more aged but well-preserved by the honey.

*He sits down on the ground, he felt exhausted for some reason, despite doing nothing but lie in a casket for a day*

He returns with two plates of ham, setting one before the lemon boi and pulling up his screen to eat his own.

*The demon eats with inhuman speed, he spent an entire day without eating, and he needs alot of food to be satisfied. He finishes within seconds and looks up at Mell briefly, doing a double take when he sees the pulled up screen*

Mell's teeth are whiter than one would expect, clean and shiny too. He tears into the meat with considerable hunger. After finishing his food, he looks down at Lemon's clean plate. "Ah.. Hungry, little one? Don't worry, I can take you to hunt later. I personally don't hunt anymore, but you must be starving, huh?" He hums, then goes to get the pot Lemon had originally been in. He scoops a bit on honey from his casket into it, then produces a vial of golden ichor from his pocket and adds it to the mix. "This is where you'll rest, okay? Until I get you a better place to sleep, that is."

As much as he loved to get people back onto their path using manipulation, violence, and manipulation, he cared highly for consent. He moved further towards Mell.

(This may be the 5/5 lovesick!M, but I’ll further it by one so that the anons don’t rip off Ms head. Or mine.)

"A kiss? That sounds nice!" Mell doesn't understand that he means kiss kiss, like a smooch, but he probably wouldn't mind finding out what M had in store for him

He pulls up the protective gear over where M would assume Mells mouth was- him resting his own hand on the small of Mells back. He moves in closer, and gently rests where one would assume his own mouth would have been - if he had one - onto Mells lips. It’s a bit cold, but except from that, would probably feel like a normal kiss, due to him being able to change the shape and form of the shadows he possesses. He closes his eyes while doing so.

Mell's made out of honey.

No joke. His skin is covered in the golden stuff, and the kiss is more sticky than cold. He doesn't mind, though, and after processing what they were doing, wraps his arms around the shadow and pulls him in.

It's as sweet as you would expect, and even more addicting than his products.

He breaks out of the lovesickness, being mildly confused for a minute before realising his situation. He doesn’t mind, though, going closer to Mell. Hed just blame everything on the lovesickness.. and it would be fine.

M continues to kiss Mell, not tasting the honey due to his tastes basically being through his eyes, as the shadows are more of a body to posses. Even without the taste, M is still addicted to what’s going on.

Mell gives it a few more seconds before breaking away, lips slightly parted but curled into a giddy smile. "That was.. ah, nice.." He blushes quite a bit, a couple wavy locks of long, sticky golden hair falling into view before he hurriedly tucks them away.

He looks sheepish - worried about if he overstepped any boundaries. He’d be blushing if he had skin, or blood.

H-heh, yea, Mell- it-.. it was, buddy. You.. you look nice, under the protective wear. I still stand by my compliment of handsome, Mellz. So- does this- lead to anything, bud- or?

He’s doesn’t remember ever being this nervous before.

"If you'd like it to.. I suppose I didn't assume ya would lean that way, but I don't mind. You're nice, and I like that. Still don't understand why you'd pick lil' ol' me, though." He doesn't pull the screen back before sneaking in another kiss.

"A kiss? That sounds nice!" Mell doesn't understand that he means kiss kiss, like a smooch, but he probably wouldn't mind finding out what M had in store for him

He pulls up the protective gear over where M would assume Mells mouth was- him resting his own hand on the small of Mells back. He moves in closer, and gently rests where one would assume his own mouth would have been - if he had one - onto Mells lips. It’s a bit cold, but except from that, would probably feel like a normal kiss, due to him being able to change the shape and form of the shadows he possesses. He closes his eyes while doing so.

No joke. His skin is covered in the golden stuff, and the kiss is more sticky than cold. He doesn't mind, though, and after processing what they were doing, wraps his arms around the shadow and pulls him in.

It's as sweet as you would expect, and even more addicting than his products.

He breaks out of the lovesickness, being mildly confused for a minute before realising his situation. He doesn’t mind, though, going closer to Mell. Hed just blame everything on the lovesickness.. and it would be fine.

M continues to kiss Mell, not tasting the honey due to his tastes basically being through his eyes, as the shadows are more of a body to posses. Even without the taste, M is still addicted to what’s going on.

Mell gives it a few more seconds before breaking away, lips slightly parted but curled into a giddy smile. "That was.. ah, nice.." He blushes quite a bit, a couple wavy locks of long, sticky golden hair falling into view before he hurriedly tucks them away.
