people are so scared of the word feminist that the lengths they will go to in order to avoid calling themselves a feminist are getting ridiculous. i just saw a take that said to stop calling it feminism and start calling it what it really is (bodily autonomy). except, bodily autonomy FALLS UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF FEMINISM. you cannot own your body if you are under the patriarchy. TERFs and the manosphere have done exactly what they wanted to do, which is villainize feminism. they’ve villainized women’s liberation. they’ve villainized every term that has to do with feminism that you can think of.

feminism doesn’t stop at bodily autonomy and trying to say it does is actually anti-feminism imho. how do you expect to have control of your body if you don’t even have respect?
