It felt like such a convenient situation for the girl. They were separated for all of this time, and suddenly they’ve been thrown back into the mix together. Bebe wasn’t planning on wasting any time. She’d never admit to it, but she cared about the things people thought about her. Especially the people she was interested in. As much as she tried to convince herself that she didn’t, it just wasn’t enough. So there was no way in hell she was going to let Clyde think of her as some spoiled ridiculous teenage girl. And even if the rumors about her hadn’t convince him by then, she was stubborn to at least make him her friend.
The way they cut each other off bothered her, they might’ve been kids, but it still hadn’t gone through her head how she hadn’t even said “hi” to him by passing. Was she really that busy? —It doesn’t matter anymore. This was her second chance. There was no better time. They were both alone, and free. Or so she thought.
Her mind was running in circles at the moment. So much was happening. Shake it off Bebe. Get yourself together. Where the hell is your charm? She thought to herself. She quickly changed her attitude, clearing her throat, while slightly tilting her head.
“Really? That’s cool, I guess. Y’know, you have some time to yourself.” She began, “—Oh, same here. Wendy and Red actually invited me to hang out tonight, but I canceled once I found these.” She lifted one of her feet, to show off one of her practically ancient skates. “I found them waaay back into my closet. I wanted to tested them out again.” She placed her heel back onto the ground, adjusting her shoulder bag to her side. “On the contrary of what it seems— I’m actually an exceptional skater.” She chuckled, “I’m not sure if you’ve ever seen me, but I usually stake on Stark’s Pond when it’s snowing.”
“So um, are you busy today? —- I heard there’s a secret little passage way around this park somewhere, and I personally wouldn’t mind some company to try and find it.” She pulled her hand up— erm, at least tried too. Finally she took note of their hands being intertwined, her gaze met with his, and instead of pulling away, she clenched a bit tighter. She could physically feel her heart beat this time.
At this point she didn’t care, her goal was to forget about the embarrassing situation that occurred, and to possibly have a new companion. Her stare never moved, and without hesitation she spoke.
“What do ya’ say? —Like old times?”
