So with this being my first post on this blog, I want to say thanks to all the followers on my other blogs. But getting underway and more to the point of THIS blog. These are my choices for tonight, the Flesh & Blood IPA by Dogfish Head out of Delaware and the local ale V-Twin by Motorworks Brewing of Bradenton, FL. They are polar opposites in flavor and in body. The Dogfish, hoppy right on the nose, with notes of 3 different kinds of citrus, blood orange juice, lemon flesh, orange peel as well. Slight malt backbone, beautifully aromatic and piney pairing well with citrus notes. At 7.5% ABV and a wonderful flavor and texture. This is an excellent choice for any summer outing. This next beer, a completely different world. Malty, rich, beautiful color, excellent lacy head that linger on the sides of my glass, brilliant Caramel flavor as well as what I think are Vienna and Munich malts, hearkening back to a traditional Marzen or Oktoberfest ale, and at 4.7 ABV and super low on the IBUS, makes this particular beer, sessionable. Either of these beers could fit your flight or fancy. I’m certainly enjoying both. Cheers🍺
