My period is late. It should have been over by my scary London event on Tuesday. But now I reckon it’ll start that day, meaning my horrific day one pain and nausea will be the day I have to speak on stage and talk w/ loads of industry people 🥲🥲🥲
pasta is so comforting. pasta is my best friend. pasta my beloved. pasta is my boyfriend pasta is a god pasta is the breeze in my hair in the weekend pasta is a relaxing thought!!!
But also Tuesday will be the first time I see a finished copy of my book, ever. I've had the proof copies for a while, but this will be the actual hardback, with the dust jacket and everything.... my period is also due imminently so I hope I manage to keep it together in front of other authors and colleagues!!
I have to sign 100 copies of my book in London on Tuesday for this publisher showcase/party thing and I am panicking because my stupid author signature looks different every time I do it!!

A weekend of novel research, editing, and lots and lots of wine.
I just found out I won £100 in a prize draw, that’s a little something today at least!!
Spent the morning getting scans and ultrasounds and I can add uterine fibroids to my list of ailments, alongside an as of yet unidentified mass in there 🥳 !! The doctor said she wasn’t worried it was anything serious and I’d get results once she had time to have a proper look but still, ffs. The universe thought the heart disease wasn’t enough to send my anxiety spiralling I guess!!!

Felt weirdly emotional watching our constituency win Green by a landslide. But just a wee bit, considering in the grand scheme of things everything is so...bleak.
Just did my first (online) conference as an author and 120 people came to the panel I was on!!! Eeeeep!!!
One of my fav teachers from high school followed my author insta account I’m 🥹🥹🥹
everything is that deep to me because i have this big empty hole in my heart
I’ve finally started watching the final season of outlander. I feel very Emotional about it ending. It was something that pulled me out of my grief and made me feel like myself again as I finally enjoyed something after my mum died, and I’ve liked having that anchoring every year or so in the 9 years since when we get a new series. I haven’t read all the books so I do have those still. Ft Euphie being a little menace when I was trying to change the bedsheets so the image isn’t huge.
