A theme park of horror had not been his first choice of investigation, but having taken it upon himself to thoroughly examine every area, he knew his arrival here to be inevitable. Being especially careful to note all options available upon entering, it became apparent that three attractions existed. The first, the most morbid appearing of them all, a labyrinth instantly able to instill dread and traumatizing anxiety; the second, a frightening house on a far more subdued scale; and the third, a presumably harmless hayride some distance away. But although an exploration of all three adventures would be necessary to perform a rounded reconnaissance, there were still some factors forcing hesitance to sink into his decision.
Namely, the gate that had permanently shut behind him.
"Alright...!" Speaking to no one in particular, the sound of his voice provided more a distraction from the other unsettling sounds echoing in depths too dark to mentally grasp. Ignoring what could be attributed to his horrible luck, his emerald gaze instead scanned across his options twice again to establish a security in his conclusion. It was only then that a girl dissociated with their eerie surroundings was sighted, the presence of a soul not haunted momentarily consoling his irregular breaths.
Thinking nothing of it, a friendly approach was solidified through a smile much kinder than anything to be found within their current environment.
"Uh, hey! So you came here too? I have to admit, I'm not really sure which place I want to try first... but maybe, if you wanted, we could go together?" The nervousness in his laugh was less his modest attempt at a first impression and more a subtle plea. Although accustomed to the far more extreme despair that shrouded his world, the suspense that came with rides likes these coupled with his knack for awful luck was not an experience he'd like to endure alone, playful or not.
