has an indomitable human spirit, even if she gets knocked down she will get back up time and time again, not even death can stop her for long (and she has died in canon)
is only a human but sometimes, that is enough! whether it be gods, deities, beasts, ghosts, or primordial beings, she may be scared as hell but she'll face it head-on

has been in spirale for a little over 4 and a half years now and knows the ropes by now

sometimes i periodically remember ritsuka had a whole ass onion in their pocket during the shinjuku singularity and only brought it out to offer as a treat to cavall ii
like where did she get it from. why is it there. was she keeping it for a snack?? to use as a projectile???? her mind is an enigma
“So… I’m not supposed t’ swear at ‘em, even if they yell at me?” Till asks Ritsuka as she explains the basics of customer service to him, tying his work apron on.
It sounds similar to the PR aspects of being an idol… the part of being an idol that Till was arguably the worst at… While Till was proud (too proud, arguably) that they hadn’t been able to interview him for Alien Stage because he started yelling obscenities as soon as they took his muzzle off, it certainly didn’t bode well for how well he would do interacting with customers.
“Can I swear at ‘em if they yell at someone else? Like her?” Till jabs his thumb in the direction of the senior staff member he’d been paired with, a woman with short dark hair who seems… non-plussed at his presence.
for a moment, ritsuka wonders if this is how the director felt when it came to dealing with the more ....eccentric servants of chaldea. there's a whole handbook on how to handle quite a few of them but ritsuka doesn't think she'll come close to anything like that with till.
" Let's keep swearing at them as a last resort. Trust me, I don't care if a rude customer leaves and never comes back but it could disturb the others enjoying their meals or even frighten the animals." the more skittish and smaller creatures, at the very least. casting a glance at the other employee with a sheepish smile, her focus turns back to the other as she claps her hands together.
" My general rule of thumb is intimidate them first! You know, stare them down, talk in a calm but restrained voice. We have had to throw out a few before but I usually leave that to Mashu– she's quite strong!" one could clearly hear how proud she was stating such a thing of her kouhai.
" So yes, even if they yell at you, don't swear at them. The same goes for if it's at anyone else. My employees are pretty good at handling themselves, so it's rare. Only step in if you absolutely have to. To make that clearer, if someone starts insulting or degrading you or your fellow employees, then you have my permission to intervene. But remember! Restrained at first."
apologies for essentially dropping the ball for the previous event, a lot of family emergencies happened and things now are just starting to calm down!!
i just realized that either i've never done one of these for ritsuka OR it's been so long/on my old blog that it was about time i do a new one! especially before the next story update that has the potential to throw a hammer into everything so! by liking this, you're telling me that you're interested in plotting out a relationship between ritsuka and your muse or planning their dynamic! it also tells me that you're okay with me throwing memes your way or sometimes random starters (if you're down with that, i'll ask first when discussing things!) and just in general having fun!

PLATONIC
friends. ritsuka is pretty easy to get along with. she's that extroverted, bubbly, easily able to pull into a situation sort of friend. the one who will drag you out on the town for some fun if you're stress or climb in through your window at midnight with junk food if you're feeling down and watch some b-rated movies to help get your mind off of things. if you need some help, she'll gladly help! however one thing i do want to make clear is that ritsuka has been changed by her journey as the last master of humanity, she can never go entirely back to being normal with all the memories she has but she tries! so if sometimes she acts off, those at just a friends level won't really get to see beyond a simple 'i'm fine' because that's just. not something she can share with so casually, if that makes sense. but ritsuka will always do her best for her friends
best friends/ride or die. these two kinda go hand in hand. if you're ritsuka's best friend, then she's willing to do just about anything for you. there's very few people she can call her best friend or her ride or die. she'll be willing to throw herself into harms way to protect you, help cover up a crime for them or help them out of any situation they find themselves in. these level of friends are ones that are extremely important to ritsuka and she'll want to protect them with everything she has but also on the other side of things, it's easier for her to open up to them especially about all she's endured or how she's feeling because generally speaking she likes to keep a happy face on.
magic/magecraft mentor or teacher. ritsuka isn't the greatest mae like at all. pretty third rate, even if their rank is now pride (above the likes of like em2 and lev) they aren't groundbreaking in terms of what they can do. most spells come from the help of whatever mystic code she's wearing but she does have magic circuits and mana and so i think she can be helped to teach how to harness that a bit more easier so she doesn't have to resort to, in times of crisis, using the mana ampoules or risking temporary necrosis from pushing her mana usage to the Extreme. not a teacher in the way to make her the greatest ever no because she doesn't care for that, but just to make things a bit easier.
ANTAGONISTIC
rivals. this one is something entirely on you because ritsuka doesn't really. see others as rivals most of the time? she can be competitive and enjoys a good friendly competition but also she's just quite average in most of what she does. not an excellent mage by any standards, not incredibly skilled in so many fields, etc etc. like she's just a norrmal, every day person but if you want to be pkmn level rivals with her then hell yeah because it can be hilarious.
frenemies. this one is really funny to me because there's few people ritsuka can't stand and with most she can be a sort of frenemy. like she'll help you or work alongside you if you share a goal but also can turn around and get in your way the next day if you act up or decide to betray her or something like that. she's had a long time dealing with people who were once her enemies so something like frenemies is nothing new to ritsuka. think of the vibe of this image
[grinch vc] LOATHE ENTIRELY . ritsuka is, at her core, someone that generally wants to do good. yes, sometimes she has to do things that aren't so defined as 'good' for the greater good like restoring humanity but she's also willing to go to those lengths as well. regardless, she's someone that very much has no problem getting in the way of another's evil plans and ruining them even if there's risk of harm being done to her. really, ritsuka can be pretty damn reckless. not fearless, because she feels fear as well as anyone else, but that's never stopped her from running headlong into danger to stop someone whether that means riding the shoulder of a giant golem fist fighting a mammoth or pushing her mana use to the absolute limits! so to keep it short because i could go on forever, she's very much the type a villain or bad guy would hate especially if they think they can manipulate her because she'll make that impossible and piss off said villain the process! i, however, encourage people to hate her and her nature it'll be fun don't you want an enemy–
ROMANTIC

situationships. why not why shouldn't i, her life has been too peaceful lately some chaos would be nice! now keep in mind this wouldn't be a relationship on the level of love like it's gonna be complicated and probably messy BUT THAT'S WHERE THE FUN COMES FROM!! currently i have one planned for her with mizi.
love. first thing first, i hc ritsuka as a bisexual and above all else, i ship chemistry and that's what i look for when it comes to ships. secondly, i want to make it clear that some part of ritsuka is always gonna love that edgy french man (aka edmond aka the count) to a degree like he's very important to her and a part of her heart will always be for him. now aside from that, ritsuka is someone who cares very deeply and when it comes to being in love with someone, she's more willing to be open and vulnerable and show them sides that others don't really get to see. she's absolutely a mix of words & actions when it comes to being in a relationship, she's the type to remember the important dates or wake you up with coffee or just bring you a nice gift because she saw it in a window and thought of you. she's also someone who, if there is a problem, wants to get it solved quickly like get to the root of it especially if it's at risk of causing strain! now this doesn't mean she doesn't have her own secrets like this protag has so much trauma and all of that and sometimes she won't say anything either BUT OUT OF A DESIRE TO SPARE THEM FROM IT not out of one to hide it if that makes sense. but above all she's very loving and cares and emotional but it's a good thing i promise
