Bradley hugging Tristan before blowing his candle for an early birthday surprise [x]
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Tris watched it happen in what felt like slow motion, as Phil’s grip on Brad’s arm slipped on his coat, and Brad was pulled into the crowd with enough force to make his head whiplash.
Tristan knows, he knows that he's in love with Brad. From the first time he saw one of Brad's youtube videos, from the first time that they met, he's known. He's been so good, hid it so well - but when a meet and greet suddenly turns into chaos, something happens. Both slowly and suddenly, all at once, he can't escape his feelings.
Or the one where Brad was always in love with Tristan, and Tristan was always in love with Brad, but neither of them dared to take the leap. Until now.

February 1, 2017. Coffee, coffee, coffee. Reading, reading, reading. Study hard lovers!
October 11, 2017 I have my coffee, hair up in a bun and some good tunes. ☕️🎧🖊 Let’s do this!

Concept: I wake up slowly to find my arms wrapped around you, holding you close. The air outside is cold but we keep each other warm. We’re peaceful, there’s nothing waiting for us today. You look calm, I hold you closer as you sleep. Days will be hard, but at least I’ll have days like this too.
Study Moods
I love study moods so much so I decided to make a few based on the days of the week for me
Monday: Finishing classes at noon, taking a walk with friends before going to a coffee shop to get a head start on the week’s work
This mood is my favorite feeling in the world. Being productive and getting things done, but feeling so carefree at the same time.
music: x
Tuesday: Sitting in the car in the parking lot, (maybe) going over notes with a comedy movie on in the background, eating snacks.
This is a thing my friend and I have started doing between classes when we’re a little too lazy to anything more than sit in the school parking lot decompressing after a stressful morning.
Wednesday: At work, drinking coffee, typing away at a paper every chance you get.
I find it hard to get homework done at work, but with papers I can usually get a couple things done. And, with the breaks I end up having to take, I have time to clear my head when I get stuck.
music: x
Thursday: Sitting at the kitchen table late at night, showered and changed into pajamas, drinking ice water or white tea, getting the last things on your to-do list checked off.
Why not make a late night study sesh a little more relaxing.
music: x x
Friday: Light studying and finishing up leftover work from the week over take out with friends, jamming to 2007 classics, taking a break at sunset to take a walk together, chatting aimlessly
There are 3 of us who have been friends for as long as we can remember, and this is one of our favorite things in the world.
music: x x
Saturday: Working for a few hours in the morning, lots of coffee at hand, as to have the rest of the day to do anything, brightly colored pens and sticky notes littering your desk
I prefer working during the 9:30-11:00 range of time over any other, I’ve just gotten fully awake and I’m ready to go. It’s also a wonderful feeling to get things done early in the weekend.
music: x x
Sunday: Taking a walk listening to an assigned book or piece of music or as a break from sitting around studying all day
I don’t know about other people but when I have a new piece or era, etc. that I’m studying, I like to listen to it 24/7 with full attention, so I like allotting time for myself to just be fully absorbed in it for a little bit

fall study moods
sweaters: droopy eyes in the library, hands wrapped around a warm mug, laughing with friends in between classes, pens almost out of ink
changing leaves: studying in bed, thin slanted handwriting, rain pattering on windows, slouchy clothes and glasses, local bookstores
tea: early alarms, pencil pouch bursting at the seams, exponentially long to do lists, unassigned assigned first row seat, tapping fingers
pumpkin patch: bullet journal entries in delicate cursive, woolen coats, book pages worn soft from use, asking questions after class
halloween: assigned reading becoming a new favorite book, getting to class just barely on time, on a first name basis with every barista
bonfire: indecipherable in class notes, maroon everything, intricate diagrams, the clinking of a spoon in a mug, a love for graph paper
flannel: chipped nail polish, spiral notebooks, notes in the margins, shaking off an umbrella, classes with teachers who love their subject
candy apple: notes festooned with post its and washi tape, a busy schedule, black hair ties that turn up seemingly everywhere, overflowing bookshelves
(days of the week) study moods
sunday: cargo shorts and a sports bra + no shoes + no shirt + it’s too hot out for that shit + sunburned shoulders + fresh nectarines for breakfast + juice dripping down your hand + singing along to latino pop music + youtube videos on science and mathematics news
monday: chips and salsa + jean shorts and a crop top + playing green day + the dining room table is a mess but that’s where you’re studying today + scribbling down notes for a math class you didn’t understand the first time + sometimes you still get things wrong and that’s okay
tuesday: jeans and a button-down shirt + cuffs rolled up + your favorite well-worn boots + listening to jazz + late afternoon + or early evening + writing research papers + lemon ginger tea + feeling grounded and safe
wednesday: overalls and bare feet + a tall glass of cold milk + sitting at the table on a gloomy day + music in languages you don’t speak + learning about recovery and getting ready to go back to school after a few months in the hospital + ready to face a toxic environment with fresh enthusiasm, optimism, and an unbreakable resolve
thursday: skinny jeans and an oversized sweater + studying in a beanbag chair or on your bed + taking textbook notes for a history class + or outlining an essay for english + listening to taylor swift and one direction + drinking cup after cup of black tea + with too much milk and sugar + going to bed sleepy and waking up groggily with a sticky note stuck to your cheek
friday: mom jeans and a t-shirt + forgetting your headphones at home + leaving school early because you only have morning classes today + chicken salad wraps and eating lunch outside in the park + getting ahead with readings for your humanities classes + cleaning out your bookshelf and finding books to give away + watching documentaries when you have nothing left to do + calling an old friend to catch up + letting your life be more than just your schoolwork
saturday: jeans and a sleeveless top + early mornings + cold showers to wake you up + grapefruit body wash + classical music and a clean table + strawberry flavored sparkling water + doing math homework with a felt-tip pen + taking breaks to stretch and meditate + the kind of calm focus you haven’t felt in months
