reblog if you love aunt carol
I love her. I feel this undeniable connection and love for her.
The best part is, this truth means I love myself.
She feels like an old friend that I no longer keep in touch with — but god. I miss her.
I keep reminding myself that I am still her. That that girl was but still is me.
But somehow, she seems farther away than ever.
I read an old post on here where I said that writing calmed me. How funny that time can change even your coping mechanisms. I miss writing as an outlet. It feels harder now than it did before. Writing, for me, is like an atrophied muscle, stiff from neglect. My mind not as flexible, or quick, at stringing together sentences that bleed my heart onto the page. Writing is like an old friend that I don’t quite recognize and yet still feels of warmth and familiarity. I am welcoming her back with open arms, but first, I must regain her trust.
On the argument I had with my mother
It is really hard to be someone to everyone. The world has me questioning whether emotional exhaustion is even real? Whether I am selfish for feeling as though I do not have more to give. When I am expending energy in so many directions, there comes a point where adding another direction reduces the quality for everyone. If I give everything away I am afraid I will lose myself.
Calling all One Day at a Time fans and pro-LGBTQIA+ and Latinx representation folks - this is not a drill!
This message is from a co-showrunner of One Day at a Time on Netflix.
They need viewers over the next few days to watch four or more shows to help keep it on the air! LET’S DO THIS!!!
The show has an out teen lesbian main character!
Who now has a non-binary sweetheart!
A single Latinx mom who is out of the military and working on her PTSD.
RITA MORENO!!!
WE CAN’T LET THIS GIFT TO THE WORLD GO AWAY. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WATCH 4 OR MORE EPISODES THIS WEEK IF YOU CAN, AND PLEASE SHARE!!!
i love blurry photographs of people on adventures because someone wanted to record the moment but they were having too much fun to take a good photograph.
