The reason why I have been so quiet lately (and not just the many art projects I'm doing) is because I've been working on this OC since February
I took breaks and went through a lot of drafts with her... I'm not even joking 💀 Then after all this time and talking with a friend... I think I feel satisfied with her design ^^"
Here are some facts I wrote, and keep in mind that I might straight up change or tweak a few things in the future. I'm sooo cringe and proud 🫠
Peach Rose is the (adopted) daughter of Millennium tree
She's besties with Wind Archer and the two have a sibling-like dynamic
It was actually him that found her as a baby by the edge of the forest. Since he couldn't just leave a fricking helpless baby alone. He took her to Millennium Tree
At first, he was tasked to find a suitable home for her while Millennium Tree looked after her for the time being. It wouldn't be for long tho as he grew (heh) attracted
So when Wind Archer returned and told him about a couple he thought would take her in. Millennium tree surprised the wind guardian that he'll take care of her
She's around 100+ years old thanks to the power of her dad's magic and the forest... but looks to be around her mid 20s in cookie age, at least
A magic user! She can grow vines with roses attached and wrap them around her opponent to keep them in place to either make her own attack or have someone else take the blow
In game, she'll probably be a Legendary since her connection to the other Elemental Cookies
This lil peach it sooooo cute! i might give Tempered Butter cookie a makeover to look just as good. (i do feel like his clothes could use an update)

Gosh, I have plenty of reasons, but I think I'll keep it simple and say, the dynamic. It's fun to see them have such huge fluttercord vibes, and I thought it suited them to a tea (heh). I enjoy drawing shadow milk being a lovey dovey sweetheart only for you!
...And I also really like my design of flutter y/n. Especially when I'm drawing their more pony features ^^

Seeing the amazing Soul Jam cookie designs from @/william-bookkeeper gave me back the motivation to continue with LoK own cookie form. Seriously, y'all need to check them out!! Their art and writing are so peak ✨️✨️
Ofcourse, I can't leave out @/insertsaddict and the anon for the Light of Kindness inspo ask either. The main reason why I wanted to try my hands at designing them.

I knew that I wanted to keep LoK cookie form simple since the Harmony Jams on their own aren't as powerful as a full-on Soul Jam. I was sorta going for an Ethereal Light thing, if that makes sense
Kinda of like a steven universe gem situation. Where their forms are just made of their pure Harmony Light.
I got some inspiration from the Light of Solidarity (in-game) form. It was a challenge to have a good amount of pinks yet not make them blindly white... I hope I achieve that well enough, oof
I couldn't decide on just giving them regular feathered or butterfly wings. After a bit more thinking and debating with myself. I went more butterfly. A reference to the gen 1 flutter ponies. Plus, a differentiate from you and your Light (while still looking like you with small changes)
They were going to have a tail... but I scrapped it since it felt too much with everything else going on. I like to keep a good balance when I design characters. Not go too little or overboard
The "clothes" I just use from my concept of your awakened form
As you can tell, I don't normally add eyes to my version of flutter y/n, but I thought it'll be a fun contrast to give your Light ones! They'll still have a mouth... it's just isn't visible unless for important scenes like kissing
it was a bit of a challenge to keep the eyes looking natural, tho. Yet I still wanted to keep Fluttershy's sweet puppy-like look. I hope I achieve it :p
So yeah, I believe that's all! I'm not sure if I'll do the rest of the harmony lights... Unless if more of you would like me to try? But I can't really grant any promises. We'll see 🤷♀️
I also totally didn't make this just so I could draw LoD and LoK holding hands and being all lovely dovely.. nope, not at all...heh
The other reason why I wanted to try my hands at drawing them was for the haircing. It gave me some good practice to try for a shiny, polished, gem like effect. Plus, their design is genuinely nice.. and I like it a lot
I swear I'm still alive! Just another art block is kinda hitting me and the many ideas floating in my head that I can't commit to one at a time 😭
I'm also a little sad because I did something stupid last night. I accidentally deleted some sketches, which I was going to use as a reference for something! I'm still a bit bummed out about it. Luckily, they weren't anything fantastic... buuut still! My poor sketches are gone forever, and I didn't save them to my flies! I thought I did, oof 😭😭

I will admit, a couple of times I wanted to scrap or give up on this project. But I kept going and I think it turned out okay. I just wished the quality was better, but I’m a newbie and I’ll probably learn more in the future. If I ever plan to make any more

Since you like my drawing of shadow milk wearing a matching butterfly pin. I thought “why don’t I give our favorite deceit minions matching pins/hair accessories too!” And here we are. Maybe at some point, black sapphire and candy apple would be matching with us. I just thought it’ll be sweet ^^
