# 8 Lady St Clements 8/1 ..... 5yo mare Who his hit and miss top jock sticks with her.

# 1 Miss Bao To U 4/1 ..... Working really well in the morning... drops to a winnable level and cuts back in distance very good chance of losing the Maiden tag.

# 2 Molinaro Deputy 5/2 ...... 10 races this season has come close to the win at a higher level too. Top jock sticks with her.

# 8 Classy Scarlett 3/1 ...... Drops to a sprint distance for the first time if she uses front running tactics which will work for her then she is in with a big shout.

# 4 Low In The Forest 6/5 ..... Beaten by the shortest distance a nose in last race over todays distance and same conditions. Had a good year but no win small barn looking for first win short odds do represent an excellent shot at doing that.

Friday card at Woodbine Canada

We take in the Friday card at Woodbine Canada....

If you used our selections on Wednesday evening you could have hit the Pick 4 for just under $600.00.

Weather is the big talking point looks like we are going to be OK come race time although quite a lot of rain has come down. However don’t think the turf will be off as it has the best drainage in the business.

Its this time a year when trainers are getting as many races into their horses as they can before the winter shutdown we have figured out those particular horses so a good return is on the cards.

Nice to see Contreras back in the saddle after his enforced holiday.

This time next week we will be in full Breeders Cup mode check the site for all our selections and pointers.... plus twitter and all other social media outlets. Aidan Obrien has a full hand coming over from his Irish base with a couple of nice 2yo's lining up in the fillies Juv. turf..

Interesting Wesley Ward has shipped a runner up from Keeneland in the 8th Race an OC 62k on the turf 7f. He does have a good overall record here........ the horse is Chilean bred and raced only two races in North America one to watch ........

# 1 Beauty Phil 3/1 ..... Gets the rail and will make a bold bid "To go all the Way". 3yo running at lowest level 8k Mdn.

# 5 Italian Beauty 8/1 ..... 4yo who is making her debut at the track for "Stompin Norman" McKnight who is in form. Goes without the shades today.

# 4 Saved Thru Faith 8/1 ..... Contreras had this gal competing in her last effort, cuts back to sprint distance.

# 2 Java's Bourbon 5/1 ..... 4yo colt for Hall of Famer Roger Attfield, gets the lasix treatment. Not seen since May. He is fresh with solid connections.

# 5 Golden Spear 8/1 ..... 40k claimer over a route on the green stuff. Certainly bred for the turf and comes off a win in last gets similar conditions today. Wilson stays aboard does have a nice kick. Note tote does take action when she wins.

# 1 Anna Regina 9/2 ..... First run for Mark Fournier barn comes off a win at this level has an electric turn of foot.

# 6 Raise A Dancer 6/1 ..... Drops 10k in claiming price led wire to wire in the last this has the hallmark of a good race.

# 8 Tesalina 5/2 ..... Could be the race of the day 7f on the turf. Wesley Ward ships in from Keeneland with this 5yo mare. Stretches out to the 7f mark where she won over twice in Chile. Has showed plenty of promise around the country in Restricted stakes. Always have to respect his runners.

# 2 Run To The Beat 3/1 ..... Lightly raced Scat Daddy filly unbeaten this year and getting stronger.

# 3 Interject 12/1 ..... Lots of value with this Empire Maker mare solid connections, likes this time of year a must for the exotics.

# 9 Blod Agent 3/1 ..... Small Carryover in the Super Hi 5 wager (First 5 Home). Contreras stays with this 4yo gelding does have tactical speed drops in distance dangerous.

# 7 Gibbons Gambler 6/1 ..... Knocking on the door at this level and distance. Was bumped badly in last when making his move more of the same today without the bump.

Harness action at Mohawk

Weather will be the talking point no doubt this evening. It having taken a dramatic turn towards winter with snow showers forecast in the region.

Tonight sees the Autumn Series hit the semi Final stages in both pacing and trotting.

Evening card at Woodbine

Evening card at Woodbine is our focus this evening.

woodbine will see the return of harness racing on the 10th of November. The only track in North America that can accommodate both form of racing on the same day.

Norm Mcknight barn has had his problems this season but is flying at the moment with a nice 29% strike rate.

Da Silva takes the night off and looks a cast for the jocks title. Contreras will soon be back in action after a 10 days suspension which put paid to any chances of claiming the title he once held.

Weather is about to take a turn for the norm after some barmy temps and conditions.

Small carryover in the Super Hi 5 wager in the last race (First five home in correct order).

Seeded Pick 5 Race 2 for 50k.

Seeded Pick 4 Race 4 for 100k.

# 5 Mey's Flash 5/1 ..... Yet another low priced maiden race over 6 1/2 F. Won’t take much to win this so give this guy a shot after steady improvement in last race. Gets Lasix and a go to to jock.

# 10 Rock River 5/2 ..... Small outfit who are knocking on the circle door with this 3yo gelding, jock Ryan knows him really well.

# 11 Me More 4/1 ..... Most experienced runner in the race and takes a drop in Mdn Price after a good effort over 6f in last.

# 5 Forest Castle 3/1 ..... Will miss the guidance of suspended Contreras although Campbell is an able replacement. Likes to dictate things solid connections goes back onto the synthetic surface.

# 7 Yarmoka 10/1 ..... Nitecap over 7f at Clm 6250 level. Taking a huge drop in price. Claimed two back down at the Fort comes off the turf has won at a higher level this season and at this distance.

# 9 Leading Wild 5/2 ..... Nice set of Beyers and only out the frame twice in last 18 months. Coming off a win in her last effort and the McKnight juggernaut is in the mix again.

# 4 Audre's aces 6/1 ..... Well-bred 4yo filly with 3 straight wins at the start of the season, racing at lowest level.

Monday, Monday wagering Picks

We're back at Mohawk on a Monday evening that feels like spring never mind Fall/Winter perfect conditions for racing.

Saturday night we put you all onto two nice winners $13.70 and #29.0.... Usual suspects are performing well FILLION driving like speeding motorist 9 winners in the last few days way ahead of the pack, Young McNair and his father are having a excellent season and establishing themselves well.

Trevor henry has been off the boil of late but coming back into the fold with some nice winners.

Trainer wise Moreau is providing some useful ammo for Fillion and has lots of runners tempted to say its a numbers game but I know what it’s like getting a horse to the track, lot of hard work and dedication.... My favourite trainer Bob McIntosh doesn't have to many winners but quality horses come out of his experienced string.

HUGE DAY OF INTERNATIONAL RACING AT WOODBINE CANADA TODAY SUNDAY 16TH. OCT.

4 HUGE STAKES RACE are on the card culminating with The Pattison Canadian International a Mile Half on the turf. which has attracted some of the best turf horses in the world.

Ryan Moore possibly the world’s top jock flies in after travelling overnight from the UK along with other jocks and trainers. The horses are already here clearing Quarantine.

He had a huge day at Ascot riding on the Champions day card winning the big race for Coolmore.

The QEII Stakes on the turf. Coolmore are well represented today along with other top connections from around the world.

Two big Pick 4 exotics where the pools are seeded 150k and 250k. The Pick 5 starts in race 2 and is guaranteed to the tune of 50k.

PLUS PLUS PLUS the Super Hi 5 wager has mandatory payout in Race 11 (First 5 home) pool is standing at just under 500k.

20 cent stakes on all exotics.

Winning the Pattison International

We are very much in winning form and ready for the big day on Sunday The Pattison International card.

55.5% Strike rate kept us in the money on Friday. Another nice card today at Woodbine with a Restricted Stakes in Race 8 for 3yo fillies.

A few shippers are on the card for today and of course a lot for tomorrow.

Godolphin are represented with a Eoin Harty runner in Race 8. also Catalano ships in from Chicago along with Rivelli.

The Super Hi 5 wager with what will be a half million pool reappears on Sunday in the last race.

Pick 4/5 Pools today are seeded to the tune of 50k and 100k respectively.

Recommend Win top selection then box all three selections each race for Ex and Tri.

Weather is a beautiful 20C clear skies could be some showers on Sunday jury is out on that.

# 7 Dawnmine 2/1 ..... Could be the wager of the day, small barn is hitting the numbers this guys numbers stack up against the field drops in class. Contreras jumps aboard.

# 6 Copper Fox 8/1 ...... Having a good year since winning Maiden in first race it will be close.

# 5 Lana's Fortune 10/1 ..... Trainer Potts still looking for that first win since bringing his string over from PID. Consistant 4yo who is really well bred regular jock comes with him.

# 7 Theatric 8/1 ..... Harty ships in with one of Godolphin’s Bernardini fillies. 100k Restricted Stakes. Been running on Tapeata over at PID. Harty hasn’t got to the bottom of this filly yet.

# 2 Crumlin Spirit 4/1 ..... Steady record but at longer distances 4th in the Oaks now sprinting Irishman Doyle brings her right back after a good run in last.

# 4 Moms Choice 2/1 ..... Comes in from Chicago last win was on a synthetic surface at Arlington won on turf in last fit enough for sure.

# 1 Modus Operandi 5/2 ..... 20k Clm nitecap over a Mile 1/16th on the Tapeata. Mark Casse drops this gal big time has the rail which will help her. Sticks out in this affair also bred by Casse.

# 5 My Pal Katherine 3/1 ..... Is she the punters pal ... hasn’t won since the start of the season switches back to Tapeata after poor effort on the turf in last big drop in price.

Pattison Canadian International Raceday Preview

All eyes point Northwards on Sunday, directly at Woodbine one of the premier turf tracks in the world.

The track hosts runners from around the planet to compete in 4 Graded Stakes races 3 Turf and 1 on the synthetic.

A strong European contingent have arrived and been training well. Some interesting runners and the morning line has certainly got my attention. However, come race time I am sure the public will have analysed all the form figures available.

Couple of things have taken my eye; the use of First Time Lasix in some of the European runners especially the fillies which is an integral part of my handicapping its worth 3 to 4 lengths when used first time around in fillies and mares.

Race 4 Ontario Fashion G3 6f Main Track. F and m

# 1 Green Doctor 10/1 ..... Has improved dramatically since joining LeBlanc barn out of The Green Monkey which still holds the tag of highest sales purchase ever.

Wilson takes over the driving. Is game and will go from the off.

# 3 River Maid 2/1 ..... 4yo filly with a nice bank account

Bob Tiller will have this 4yo filly primed Boulanger stays aboard just short of graded stakes level.

# 5 Cactus Kris 5/2 ..... Comes in from Presque Isle Downs same surface as today Tapeata. Won this race last year sure to be in the mix.

Race 6 The Nearctic G2 6f Main Track (Tapeata).

# 1 Divine 12/1 ..... Trained by Mick Channon in the UK Mick was a top class soccer player in the 70's winning numerous caps for England now turned trainer. has travelled far and wide to place this 5yo mare likes the surface and distance will come off the pace.

# 6 Conquest Enforcer 5/1 ..... Local 3yo colt getting weight for age knows the track well and Castellano who has the best record in North America jumps aboard will try to make all quite the spectacle.

# 2 Full Mast 7/2 ...... Familiar colours Juddmonte Farms for Bill Mott called K Abdulla in the UK. was given two prep races here at Woodbine for today’s race Rosario sticks with him.

Race 8 The EP Taylor Mile 1/4 Turf G1 $500k

# 3 Best In The World 20/1 ..... Love the price in fact like everything about this gal. 3yo daughter of super sire Galileo who gets First Time Lasix. Top jock in the world for Coolmore connections Ryan Moore is aboard steps upto G1 level but a logical step first time this side of the pond distance not a problem.

# 4 Suffused 5/1 ..... Anothr Bill Mott challanger who will appreciate the distance and the turf only out the frame once since moving to America.

# 5 Rainha Da Bateria 3/1 ..... Trainer Chad Brown knows this part of the world pretty well having been an assistant for Harness Trainer Paul Kelly. Has a nice 4yo filly who is no stranger to this class of race won her last out now over a Mile 1/4.

Race 9 The Pattison Canadian Invitational G1 Mile

1/4 on the turf.

# 5 Dartmouth 20/1 ..... Forget the price this is one serious racehorse. Sir Michael Stoute trains for the Queen. with William Buick up. Gets first time lasix and is a grandson of Galileo who's off spring were 1,2,3. recently in the Arc.

Interesting first race of the year was at Chelmsford which is a track in Eastern England modelled off US tracks he won the G3 that day and from then on was pointed for this race. will be fresh will make his move off the bend. like that price.

# 3 Idaho 20/1 ..... 3yo colt son of Galileo getting first time lasix could be a big day for the sire. Was favourite for this year’s St leger third leg in the UK Triple Crown. Unseated rider when challenging in the Mile 6f race on the turf. Coolmore connections. Getting weight for age.

# 6 Wake Forest 4/1 ..... German bred who has raced here ran well over this distance in the Northern Dancer when second by a nk sure to be in the mix up.
