Is that what Democrats are hoping? Really? NOW? In 2026?
The former slaves never got the 40 acres and the mule, anyway. Even the ones that got it had it taken. The Republicans should have made it a law, but they didn't. Special Field Order No. 15 was issued in January 1865 by Union General William T. Sherman. Maybe if Lincoln had not been assassinated, it would have become law. Since it wasn't a law and Abraham Lincoln GOT SHOT, when Andrew Jackson, a Democrat, became president and put the kibosh on everything. And gave the land back to the Confederates.
_ It's kind of like when a person says they want to leave you something, but they don't write a will or create a trust. Then they die, and some other folks say: "Should have been yours? Oh well! IT'S OURS NOW!"
That was 1865. It is beyond 2025.
IF Democrats had a change of heart and decided to MAKE IT A LAW, the Republicans would put the kibosh on it!

So instead of talking about “the 40 acres and the mule” that we ain't never gonna get … can #WeThePeople talk about “priority matters”?
Because if I had a choice between “40 acres and the mule” and QUALITY HEALTHCARE, STABLE EMPLOYMENT + A LIVING WAGE, EDUCATION, GUN CONTROL, NO WARS … guess what I'd focus on!
