I've wanted kayaks in game ever since I started working on Tørsvall, and when TS4 included it with Adventure Awaits, I could finally make it happen! (I'm definitely not an animator lol)
This is a new boat type for a single sim. It's fully functional with custom converted animations. It currently has no fishing interactions, but I'll probably convert those animations and include them in the future. There's an adult and smaller child version.
KNOWN ISSUES
» The "Boat Here With" interaction on the kayak object is still there, despite specifically removing it in the code... when you click it, the sim will end up using the water taxi or another multi-occcupancy boat. » Idle/Paddling animations continue for a few seconds before transitioning to the next state. » The transparency on the adult kayak looks kinda bad, but I can't seem to make it look better, sorry!

Harvest Robot
"Harvest Collector" is a robot that works like a pump and automatically harvests the crops from the plants in your garden. It puts all the edible crops in the refrigerator, and the inedible ones in the family inventory.
- The robot has its own route, so it creates its own path to harvest.
- The "Harvest List" button shows the fruits/vegetables that have been harvested.

This mod contains two new interactable objects: a pottery wheel and kiln.
Ceramics can be crafted on the wheel, and then fired in the kiln with a chosen glaze.

TS3: Less Cheaty Gambling
By default in Sims 3, gambling is basically a free money cheat. I noticed there were no tuning mods available to make the odds closer to reality, so I went ahead and made one!
Gambling odds have been made far more realistic across the board. If you're winning, try to get out while you're ahead!
Tuning Changes
Most notably:
"Free money per hand" in Poker has been removed entirely
Roulette odds now approximate real European Roulette at 47.3% regardless of skill level
Slot machines have significantly reduced odds that do not scale with skill
Winning, losing, and tie odds in Blackjack have been made more realistic. Natural Blackjacks now occur at a flat 5% frequency regardless of Gambling skill
Sims will spend less time standing around blankly in between pulling the lever in slots
Sims won't be able to kick the slot machine as often to recoup losses

Outer's Mod Notes: Hi everyone!
This is my first mod on Mod The Sims, and I'm very happy to share it!
I decided to create this mod for me and anyone that might be interested to a fine tuning for a lot of aspects of the game. With ReFiner, when you click on a Sim, you have access to multiple features that are shown in images, like "Set Traits", "Set Needs", "Set Lifetime Wish", "Set Lifetime Rewards", "Set Skills", a utility for resetting Sims and canceling their current interaction, quickly activating Testing Cheats and so on, all polished with a table-style user experience, with toggles and dialogs. They integrate a UI refreshing that, depending on your FPS, might not show up correctly after you confirm your options. Just switch to another Sim and go back to the previous one to see that everything was applied correctly!
And this is just the surface!
With ReFiner you get a full 4 module mod, that, in Settings, also includes:
• "ReLover": a "complex but easy" module to allow open relationships and poliamory, in an advanced but non invasive way, with fine tunings for reputations, romance interactions and also celebrity scandals, and to allow the disabling of reputations completely, with easily revertable toggles.
• "ReCaller": a module to finely tune your experience with phone calls, allowing you to specifically choose which kind of phone calls your household Sims receive and do not receive, easily revertable as well.
• "ReHelper": a module to allow further tunings in game for things like Burglar events (house robberies), Pet Sounds (ESPECIALLY CATS), Sim autonomy for pet interactions (to avoid them obsessing towards pets, like usually happen with "have fun", "play with", "pet", etc.) meteors falling on Sims, and Paparazzi not showing up at home anymore
• "ReCleaner": basically a module that helps you identifying "dirty" or "broken" items that usually generate Dirty Surroundings moodlets and also disable the moodlets themselves completely (if you want). This mod allows to know what exactly is broken or dirty and needs your action to fix the moodlets.
These are all pure scripting modules that mainly patch parameters at runtime, so it's a mod designed to be very compatible with anything and pretty light (despite not in a 100% esteem, because it's impossible and will also depend on your PC), but the mod itself also integrates a Watchdog that informs the user when its "ON" toggles are being overwritten from other mods. It's an experimental feature, but in my testings it did its work. And you can of course disable it if it spams too much prompts in your experience, in "ReFiner > Settings > ReFiner" module.
Quick Summaries:
• "ReLover"
- Open Relationships: enable an advanced Short Term Context Mechanic where romantic actions are now accepted and liked (LTR+) in a conversation between multiple people, totally disables jealousy, accusations and emotional triggers and notifications of any kind that are related, including occasions like dates, groups, etc. and interactions on pie menus like "Confess Attraction" or "Confess Cheating" stuff
- Disable Reputations: literally disables any kind of reputation in game excluding faithful and ethernally faithful
- Disable Romantic Scandals: disables any of the scandals related to romantic interactions (cheating, woohooing in public, woohooing with an occult)
- Disable All Scandals: disables any kind of scandal related to Late Night mechanics
- Full Romance Interactions: enables in game every kind of possible romantic interaction, ever, always avaiable, when LTR is enough with your Sim's relationships, and Sims will also use all of the available interactions in their autonomy. This toggle allows you to use "Propose going steady" or "Propose marriage" with any Sim you want, therefore having also multiple marriages!! Apparently in a native way for TS3.
• "ReCaller"
- You have a toggle for specific kinds of calls you can disable (your cellphone will not ring at all)
• "ReHelper":
- Disable Burglar Events
- Disable Pet Obsession: with different options like BALANCED or ON, you can choose how much your Sims generally "obsess" with interactions towards Pets, that usually can bring their autonomy to constantly pet them during their time in the house
- Disable Pet Noises: similarly, this feature patches at runtime where the code "calls" the sounds, so in BALANCED or ON, Pets will produce less sounds or no sounds at all, especially cats
- Meteors are harmless: when meteors falls on the ground, they are unable to kill any of Sim or "smashing them", so they'll practically just get "dirty"
- No Paparazzi At Home: disables path finding to your house for Paparazzi, so they never come stalking you there, and they also get re-routed away if already present on your lot, "running home"
- Fix Firefighter Emergencies: a micro patch that should help the micro-lag that happens when the ring bells in firefighter emergencies
• "ReCleaner"
- Identify Dirty Items: you can now know which items produce dirty moodlets, specifically
- Disable Dirty Moodlets: disable the 3 dirty moodlets completely
- Attempt Plumbob Repair: if plumbob item over the head of your Sims gets buggy and seen as a dirty object (it can happen after you identify dirty objects) this feature will restore it to default. It's the reason why sometimes after cleaning everything, in my saves, the dirty moodlets were still appearing!
- Show score: for dirty items, in notifications you'll be able to see individual score for each item if you're curious about them

S3SS 1.5.0 - Illuminated Setter
Woo! Multiple new patches and a big revamp/patch to the games lighting system!
New stuff:
Startup Warning Dialog Fix - Fixes a dialog that either fails to be created or fails to appear and causes the game to look like it's black screened, made by "Just Harry".
^ This and the CPU Optimization and Expanded Crash Log patches are now enabled by default (thank you Swiffyjk for this and some banger readme changes!!)
Disable Store Featured Items Download - Blocks the game from downloading the featured store items listing, preventing thumbnail downloads into the FeaturedItems folder.
Uncompressed Compositor Textures - Forces material compositor textures to use uncompressed A8R8G8B8 instead of DXT1/DXT5. Similar to the Sim Textures patch but for other things, DXVK is recommended to avoid memory issues.
Lighting Quality Patch - Improves interior lighting: higher lightmap resolution, softer shadows, blur and a janky multisampler that might be worse than the default but I spent too long on not to ship it. Highly recommend playing with the various lighting settings in the settings tab alongside this as you can DIY your own lighting mods and lighting is fun and neat and cool. I would recommend turning drop shadows off at least as I find they look really gross.
The last three are experimental patches, they'll graduate into proper patches eventually.
Updates/Changes:
Update to smooth patch precise with help from LazyDuchess!!!, a few things tweaked and a new option to only tick at most once per frame.
Intersection optimization patch removed (RIP), this wasn't a wise patch to begin with and ended up breaking a few things (was faster because it just threw out half of its calls)
That's all! S3MM soon etc. etc. I will probably expand on the lighting patch as I had "fun" working on it, I'd also like to mess w/ the diffuse and specular probes/system for crispy reflections etc.

Snowflake Day Tree + Activities Fixes and Updates
Fixes:
Household members will now show up in the options dialog for Snowflake Day card recipients
Adjusted the decorating interaction so the tree will always be decorated provided your Sim does not stop prematurely
Fixed the issue with sims resetting sometimes when autonomously hanging decorations on the tree
Replaced the default decoration with a more Sims appropriate one from Martassimsbook (included as a separate download because I had to resize to fit the tree)
Updates:
Sims can now ask multiple sims for different types of gifts instead of limiting to one Sim.
Letters to Santa: Kids can now write letters to Santa. Click on the mailbox any time three days before Snowflake Day to get the interaction. After writing and mailing their letter, they may get a want or special moodlet to meet Santa.
New Custom NPC role: Holiday Santa. You need to place the Santa chair on a community lot and it will push an NPC Santa to show up to work. Kids can then meet the Santa and talk to them which will fulfill their want if they have one or positively impact their buff.
There’s an XML settings file which you can use to change the hours Santa is available, set the cost to see Santa, and the type of NPC you want pushed for Santa (for example, if you want a traditional looking old, white dude or you are fine with either gender, any race, age, etc.) I would note though, the more specific you are, the harder it may be to find an NPC to fill that criteria
If the chair is on a festival lot, festival tickets will be used in lieu of money if you have enough (20) in your inventory.
Any YA+ Sim can volunteer to play Santa. If there is a volunteer Santa working the chair then the cost is free.
Depending on their age or personality, kids will either sit on Santa’s lap or sit next to him.
Parents may autonomously watch their child meeting Santa, taking photos and things like that.
New custom holiday wishes: I added a bunch of new wishes that Sims may get (depending on personality and situation) during the winter season. Some are age-specific:

Work as a Film Extra (A New Rabbit Hole Interaction)
This mod adds a new interaction to the film studio, allowing your sims to work as film extras to earn some extra cash. Various events will also occur during the process.
Requirements
This mod requires Late Night and Showtime.
Main Features
Sims aged teen and older can work as film extras at any time of the day. Sims who already work in the Film Career or are celebrities cannot work as extras, but those working part-time at the film studio are allowed to.
The interaction lasts for 4 hours. Similar to prom, a pop-up triggering a random event will appear every half hour. Below are the details and probabilities of each event (rounded to two decimal places):
Praised by the director: Gets a positive moodlet (16.67%)
Meet a celebrity: Increases relationship (8.33%). The celebrity must meet one of the following two conditions: 1️⃣Celebrity level is at least 3. OR 2️⃣Works in one of the following careers: Film, Music, Professional Sports, Singer, Magician, or Acrobat. This means you might meet Matthew Hamming, Pauline Wan, or even a 5-star celebrity cashier. If there are no sims in the current world meeting these conditions, this event will not trigger.
Obtain a Magic Gnome (12.5%)
Make a fool of themselves: Gets a negative moodlet (12.5%)
Get injured during filming: Gets a negative moodlet (8.33%)
Gain a little bit of the charisma skill (16.67%)
Conflict with another actor: Decreases relationship (8.33%). Preference will be given to sims in the following careers: Film, Music, Professional Sports, Singer, Magician, or Acrobat. If there are no sims meeting these conditions, your sim will randomly become enemies with a teen or older sim in the current world.
3 random filming work events: Purely text-based events (16.67%)
After the work is finished, your sim will receive payment (the amount is not fixed and fluctuates randomly based on traits and skills). There is a 24-hour cooldown before they can work as a film extra again.
Each event has a base trigger weight, which is further modified by the sim's traits. Sims with the Natural Born Performer, Star Quality, or Charismatic traits are more likely to trigger good events (being praised, meeting celebrities, etc.). Sims with the Clumsy, Loser, or Unlucky traits are more likely to encounter bad situations (making a fool of themselves, getting injured, etc.).
Tuning
You can adjust values for event weights, work hours, trigger intervals, celebrity relationships, etc. in the mod's XML file.
Conflicts & Known Issues
This is a pure script mod, so there shouldn't be any conflicts.
If a sim goes to work as an extra during their regular work or school hours, they might leave early or be reset by Overwatch, but they will still receive the corresponding payment. If your teen works as an extra during curfew, they will still be forcibly escorted home by the police.
If you place a new film studio in the world, you will need to save and reload the game for the interaction option to appear on the building.
Plumbots will not receive moodlets when triggering certain events, though it might depend on the chips they have.

Just place the package file in your Mods/Packages folder.

Get Pumped!
This started as just a simple solution to allow my Sims to work out without a TV, radio or gym equipment present but I’m a fitness nut so I knew I couldn’t stop there. I love working out and am always trying out new workouts or gyms like people try out food or clothes. It’s one of my favorite hobbies IRL so I was happy to try and make more exercise/fitness things for my athletic Sims.
This is the Exercise Mat I previewed a few weeks (months?) ago and I added a few more features like the ability to teach classes and also free weights (dumbbells and kettlebell).
Credit/Thanks: @aroundthesims for the free weights and kettlebell which are hers. I only recategorized them to Sports/Hobbies. Mats and board are EA. Animations by me, Mixamo and EA!

20 March 2026 Update
Fixes
Fixed the issue where the class levels had been removed (by me) and so the interaction wasn’t recognizing the appropriate animations for the class. Participants should once again be able to do the exercises in the class.
Fixed the bicycle crunches animation so Sims aren’t hovering over the floor
Exercise mats are now both Sim inventory enabled and live dragging enabled so you can carry them anywhere
Fixed a misspelling issue that was causing one of the sit up animations to not play
Fixed a tuning issue that was preventing stage progression for lifting dumbbells
Deleting instructor mats will unlink all exercise mats from them
Updates
Mats can be rolled up when not in use to conserve space
You can now select whether to assign a single mat or all mats in the room to an instructor mat.
Added some of the free weight lifting animations from Sims 4.
Added heavy weights. They work the same as the dumbbells in the game but are bigger so they have a higher fatigue multiplier (your Sim will get tired faster using them)
Added a weight rack which can be used to store weights. If using the “Get Weights” interaction, Sims will grab a weight and start lifting autonomously. After they’re done they will put the weight back
Added an NPC instructor mat. Placing this mat on a lot will push an NPC fitness instructor every day at 6am who can lead classes. The instructor will have at least Level 6 Athletic skill and will be pushed to start classes (roughly every 2 hours from the last class held) between 7am and 7pm. These are not scheduled classes so you won’t be able to sign up for them. They will just be announced half an hour before it starts if you’re on the lot where the class is taking place. You can also prompt a class using the Call for Class interaction on the NPC mat. Like the regular instructor mats, they need to have exercise mats assigned to them.
The collection file has been updated with the new objects. All can be found under Sports or Hobbies/Skills.

Sims 3 Package Reducer (S3PR) by OhRudi - Update (03/16/2026)

This software reduces the size of Package-Files drastically, very usefull if you have tons of CC
It removes thumbnails (THUM) and icons (ICON) resources from Package-Files and compresses or decompresses them
Thumbnails are safe to remove, the game regenerates them (see image explenation)
Icons are safe to remove, the game doesn't use them, nor does CC-Magic
Compressing reduces the Package-File size drastically, but it's no performance gain for your game, because your game has to decompresses them while playing
Decompressing expands the Package-File size by three times. It's a performance gain while playing, cause your game needs them decompressed anyway
I'd recommend compressing your individual CC files, but decompressing the merged CC files, such as the builds from CC-Magic
DO NOT compress mods (like NRaas and other Script-Mods), only compress CC
You can use S3PR via console. Use .\S3PR.exe --help to get the list of possible arguments
Works only for Package-Files, not for Sims3Pack-Files
