The random assignment
(Part 1)
Adrian
I just turned graduated high school and got a new job where I work remotely at a call center for a car company. The headquarters and office are an 8 hour drive from my home town. The same day I was given a diploma I was also given the information to my works 2 week camping retreat. Fuck I say to myself, I’m not cut out for this. Unluckily I knew no one so I had to select the “random roommate” option.
Holden
I work as a mechanic in there upstate location worked there since I was 19.The same year he went into the closet about being gay. “Holden” my boss screamed from his office.”here we go again” I thought to myself again stupid liberal trying to get there blinker fluid replaced.”company picnic you got anyone” I honestly thought fuck no but that’s not something you say to your boss so “No” I replayed.
*Two weeks later*
Adrian + Holden
They finally got into the campground for their company retreat and stood in the “sign in” line separately . After a long wait he finally got the cabin “Number 12”.They both were wondering ”Who is my bunk mate”. But that was cut short after an announcement was made to head into your cabin.
Adrian
Adrian made it back to the cabin first and started to set up his space. Finality it hit him how calm and relaxed he was and then the door started to open.
Holden
He opens the door to the smell of Vanilla and the Beatles softly playing in the background.”They gave me a fucking what even are you”
Adrian
“Im a guy I just so happen to like guys and taste”
Holden
“I can tell I mean I don’t go around showing off my straightness”
Adrian
“Well most people come here with their wives so you tell me” With that Adrian found it time to bring out his weed pen and shots he snuck into this. He grabbed his supplies and walked out of the cabin and into the woods to numb how shitty theses 2 weeks will be
Holden
Holden took out his own supply of beer and started chugging
Adrian
Adrian retuned to the cabin barely extremely intoxicated walked in and noted his roommate was the same
Holden
“Sorry about earlier Its hard seeing you able to be yourself fully and us real men struggled I’m past my prime and starting to slow down”
Adrian
“Its ok Holden I understand I’m super skinny look how buff you are I wish I was more muscular and powerful”
Holden
“You will see you wanna take a walk and clear some things up”
Adrian
Adrian knew both him and Holden were too drunk but it was a work camping trip how bad could it be?
Holden
“God if only I could be 19 again?”
Adrian
“Why its boring anyways noting to do I wish I was in my 40s”
Holden
“If I had your body I would be unstoppable”
Adrian
“If I were you wouldn’t mind to flex your muscles”
Holden
“Maybe but I would bulk you up get you big and strong”
Adrian
“Well if we can ever switch bodies I will with you”
*They continued on their walk*
Holden
Holden stops on the trail drunkly kicking it to Adrian
Adrian
He picks it up and reads it “Body swapping pills” ”Each person takes one pill and wait 5 Minutes for effect” Theses are fake he saids out loud “Take 2 for permeant results”
Holden
“What the harm in trying we both wouldn’t mind it”
Holden + Adrian
*grabs from bottle and secretly takes 2 *
Holden
“Do you feel that it feels like were being lifted up”
Adrian
“Yeah that weird…” as Adrian saids that they feel like there soul was ripped out out and pushed towards Holden
Holden
*Looks back at a reflection of himself but from the POV of Adrian*
Adrian
“Whoa this is awesome I’m so big and manly”
Holden
“Im going to hit the gym”
Holden + Adrian
“Wanna leave this place and meet together in 6 months”
“No way yes” They said together and then they were gone
