Master's Application Fund

For two years, war interrupted my education and future plans.

Despite everything, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering and continued supporting students through educational initiatives in Gaza.

Today, I am taking the first step toward my Master's degree.

ok so i randomly got suspended from twitter yesterday for no reason. twitter's ai hit a lot of regular accounts and mass suspended a bunch of legit accounts for "inauthentic behaviors". i was just scrolling when i got banned but from what ive read other folks were liking or unliking tweets, bookmarking tweets, or rting so you know normal twitter behaviors. twitter is the only site ive seen that doesn't want ppl to actually use it. ive had my account for 16 yrs it's actually older than my tumblr account by 5-6 months.

i have an archive of it from Jan? i think that was when I last requested my data from the site but if i get it back I'll request another archive and let everyone know where ive disappeared to.

despite everything ab the site it was a great place to follow artists. i dont use instagram anymore so my sites are slowly getting limited

please consider giving my friend Amal ( @moatasim-ashour )'s campaign a boost today. she has been hospitalized this week with kidney stones and is relying on these funds not only to get the treatment she needs, but to provide for her elderly and chronically ill parents and her baby and toddler. all told, this fundraiser supports 12+ people, over half of whom are children, as Amal's sister Reem's family ( @danashehab ) is also depending on these funds. the price of daily necessities is rising all the time, and they are in urgent need just to maintain the bare minimum of life, and of course to care for their children and the sick, injured, and elderly members of their family.

i could talk about what a kind and thoughtful person Amal is, or how much she loves her children, or her talent in languages, or just how much she and her family have endured over the past 2+ years of genocide. but the truth is that she and her loved ones should not have to justify themselves or put their lives on display to the multitude to merit solidarity and compassion. they deserve to live and thrive just like any other family in the world, and right now, they need our help to keep that hope alive. they have been immensely courageous in asking for support—now it's our turn to reciprocate it, especially at this time of year dedicated especially to charity and aid to those in need (which we can all stand to do more of whether or not we're observing Eid).

so if you have the means, please do what you can to help make the Ashour and Shehab families' holiday a little safer and more special, and to lift even a fraction of the stress from Amal's shoulders so she can rest and recover in as much peace as possible. truly no gesture, even just a share or a kind word, is too small to matter!
