Last week on the NATPE Friday Round-Up we discussed the pros and cons of YouTube as a talent and idea incubator. Today we explore the flip side of the equation with a number of vloggers and other YouTube talent signing shiny cross-platform deals. What does success look like for folks like Felicia Day, Grace Helbig and others? One thing we know for sure, these seemingly overnight successes have worked long and hard to build their audiences – it’s no fluke. Following is a brief overview of some of the creatives and companies making multichannel deals this summer.
