i know the common consensus among the fate fandom is that archer gil and casgil are like night and day, but they really aren’t that different. in ccc gil says that his mood is effected by where he’s summoned, which explains part of why he’s more “evil” in fsn and zero than he is in the extraverse, because he hates the modern world. hell, even in fgo his archer form is much nicer. for a good example of this, fgo literally uses archer and caster gil in events interchangeably. in summer 3, it’s casgil, then in the first gilfest, archer gil talks about his time spent in hawai’i. then at the climactic battle for the first gilfest, you can chose whether you fight archer gil or casgil/gorgeous p, and their dialogue is exactly the same regardless. then, next year, in summer 4, it’s casgil again, and he says “i haven’t seen you since new york”. even if you compare archer and caster gil’s myroom dialogue in fgo, if you didn’t know in advance it would be very hard to tell which one was which. 

going back to the fact that gil’s behavior is affected to where he’s summoned, that is part of why in babylonia he is so much more willing to work with others. it is true he is in the form of the wise king there, but he also just cares about uruk a lot. there is no way of knowing if casgil would care as much in the modern day.

while archer gil is summoned in his “tyrant” form, even back then, while he was much crueler, he did still care about humanity. part of his abuse towards his citizens was him lashing out because of his loneliness, but he also was trying purposely to be a villain to push humanity forward (i’m not defending his actions here btw he’s still a piece of shit for this)

remember this scene in babylonia (which is actually taken from a flashback in ccc)?

they are talking about how gil truly cares about his people, but he can never tell them that he cares because he needs to stay objective. he acts cruel because he genuinely thinks it’s beneficial. and notice that? he is specifically in his younger tyrant/hero/archer appearance here. it’s not a fluke archer gil’s alignment is chaotic good. archer gil has all of his life’s memories too, and he remembers enkidu for example in fate zero (not in the anime tho damn you ufotable)

in ccc, over the course of the game as gil grows more attached to hakuno, his behavior shifts from what would typically be considered his “archer” behavior to his “casgil” one, because he grows to care about hakuno and also realizes he needs to take action to save the world, and he considers himself the world’s guardian and king. 

even archer gil’s behavior as a whole has softened since his original appearance in the fsn VN. i’m once again repeating what i’ve said in other posts here, but gil truly cares about kids. even before enkidu appears in strange fake which allows him to start to truly care about the events there, he is very gentle towards tine when she first takes over as his master. he becomes protective of her near instantly, in a way he isn’t to most of his other masters. he gives her lots of advice to, and even says that a girl of her age should not have to take on the responsibility she has.

i’ll end before i get too rambly here, but, while i don’t think archer and caster gil are exactly the same, they are still way more similar than people think.

Aside from the depth and lore of both those characters, my bi bottom ass is like 'damn, both are hot'. But on the other hand, my misanthropic feelings make me become Keanu Reeves in the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, approaching Kirei with words 'Wake the fuck up, priest. We have Fuyuki City to burn'.

The very same reason I have strong feelings for Dagoth-Ur or Miraak from The Elder Scrolls honestly. And for the DC villains, including guys like Scarecrow.

Aww, thank you! It's pretty encouraging tbh. I'm always a bit nervous when I add posts as English is not my mother tongue, and I don't wanna be a laughing stock for strangers online because of it. I always check the grammar and words like 5-6 times per post and I'm glad it makes my headcanons at least readable 👉👈

What are your rules for requests?

Hey! Honestly, I don't really have any particular 'rules' or anything like that now. It's kinda weird for me now that in some fandoms writers and artists have to state they won't do anything related to sexualizing underaged characters or something. Like, I do believe that NOT writing stuff like that is basic human decency and I don't have to state openly this kind of content isn't welcome on my blog. As well as it's not really accepted in fandom in particular, I guess.

The only other 'rule' I can think of is being patient – I'm an adult, now I'll start the first year of university after a gap year, I used to work up to 10-12 hours per day. This obviously means I don't write on Tumblr full-time or anything. It's a hobby and one of many things I'm a nerd for so I guess it's pretty understandable that requests may take a few days before I'd even log in.

Emiya (Archer) being a dad for the first time headcanons

A/N: Hello there! I’m back after a long hiatus connected to getting a job... and then losing it due to transphobic manager. I’m so sorry for not posting anything or not even sending any life signals. I’m getting back to more or less regular posting, I hope.

This is a request made by an anon about a month ago!

Okay, so this idea made me wonder – is he even able to have a child with someone? Like, come on, he’s basically a Spirit. He can materialize, of course, but does it make it possible to father a baby? Honestly, I don’t think so. BUT Archer can adopt one with you!

Adopting a child would mean a lot for him. After all, he was an adopted son himself. It’s kinda different when the child is just a baby, though Emiya still feels like it’s a start of a brand new life for someone. To be frank, he’s also pretty stressed and thinks of it as the biggest responsibility in his life. To become the best parent possible for someone who got rejected or lost family... Yeah, he’s pretty nervous.

He spends TONS of hours on parenting sites looking for tips! If you check out the search history you would be just amazed, okay? He’s especially cautious about stuff related to health – Emiya would like to make sure he’s able to notice any early symptoms of diseases or other problems.

Also, Emiya showers the baby with loads of presents! The room is basically full of fluffy toys and teddies. He even asked Vlad to show him how to knit a blankie. I mean, just imagine him seating on his favorite armchair and knit a huge blanket. I find this as pretty cute idea, honestly!

At night, when the baby wakes you two up with their crying, Archer is instantly right by the crib. If you ever try to replace him, he’s getting pretty defensive and overprotective towards you. Emiya always sends you back to bed, saying that was late and you needed to take rest. Actually, he pretty much pushes himself and is very tried, so you better become more assertive and just take him to bed by force before the poor man overworks himself!

One of your favorite scenes soon becomes the image of him falling asleep with the baby on his lap. The child hugs him tightly and it’s pretty obvious how safe and loved they feel. Do you know those pictures of babies sleeping in the exact same positions as their fathers? Yeah, that’s pretty much the same thing.

I think I don’t have to mention that when the baby is old enough to eat other stuff than milk, Emiya becomes almost obsessive about this topic. Archer tries out tons of different vegetable soups and honestly you always want him to make more just for you. Who would think that food dedicated to children would be so yummy?

Also, I really imagine that Emiya would like to name the baby Kerry. You know, after Kiritsugu. I believe it would mean a lot to him. Also, the name is basically gender neutral, so the AGAB wouldn’t really matter.

Enkidu and Gilgamesh in Chaldea

So because of @goldengrailed 's ask, I felt the complete need to post about this.

In Chaldea, Enkidu has a voice line regarding Gilgamesh (Archer and Caster) that says they feel the presence of their old friend

But it doesn't seem as though they see Gil. All they can say is they can feel their presence.

In Caster Gil's voice line, it seems to correspond to this mention.

Meaning in Chaldea, Gilgamesh is actively avoiding Enkidu because he feels as though he lost that privilege when they died. Gilgamesh acknowledges that Enkidu's death was necessary for him. In doing so, it allowed Gilgamesh to finally rise up and be a proper king for Uruk.

I think Gilgamesh is still ashamed of himself. He's still grieving to this day over Enkidu. I hope my two babies get that chance to make up about this.

Yeah, he still can’t get over Enkidu’s death and he even blames himself for this.

Also I think because of this moment he started to dislike himself (as it says in his character info)

He just can’t forgive himself to that point that he can’t look right into their eyes or speak their name.

And even when Hakuno tries to talk about them, Gil doesn’t really want to bring it up because it’s a very hard topic for him.

And Enkidu also mentioned in CCC during the dream that they “left an eternal wound on his dignity”, because after Enkidu said that they are just a tool and nothing more Gil makes an oath to them and isolates himself

Also I remember during one interview it was said that Gil was still grieving over Enkidu's death in Babylonia. And yeah, he did laugh a lot because he thought that letting his people see him grieving would be not very good to general morale. So he tried to let it out whenever he was all by himself with no one nearby because no one is allowed to see him grieving, whether it was Fujimaru or somebody else. And the fact that Siduri couldn't tell just shows how good he was at hiding it.

Georgios (Rider) summertime dating headcanons

Just one word: photography. Dude is really obsessed with this hobby and you can be sure as hell that no matter where you two go, he always takes the camera with him.

Summer really does trigger the wanderlust within Georgios. He has some trouble to withstand home honestly and just keeps bragging about next trips and travels with you, including going abroad.

Due to the skills coming from his class, he would like to try various means of transport to travel with you. His favorite one is motorcycle, tho. I mean, just consider this: a literal saint on a huge, loud and fast cycle. It’s pretty cool, isn’t it?

He keeps taking photos of you two at every occasion possible. While you are posing, petting animals, sightseeing, eating, lying down while resting etc. After coming back home, Georgios spends some time on choosing the best ones and prints them. He decided to make an entire album of pictures from your common trips, with description of every place you had visited. He considers that as an easy way to keep the memories of those forever. And it’s kinda sweet, let’s be honest.

Due to his position of a saint and his devotion to his faith, be prepared that there aren’t any physical displays of affection. His love is pure and platonic, he doesn’t even kiss you and rather doesn’t hug you. You know the memes about hand-holding being lewd and kinky? It’s kinda him, unironically.

Also, because of the fact above, you two would never sleep in the same bed together. He just feels pretty bad about that, considering it almost as a sin.

During your travels, be ready that because of his saint nature, Georgios wants to help everyone. Literally everyone. He always takes extra water bottle with him in case of anyone needing it. He has an extra luck when it comes to finding children who were lost, which means you two spending time on looking for their parents. Those are just few examples of the good deeds you two do on your holidays, so be ready: you are gonna be pretty busy!
