Koji rocked back and forth on his toes, a every cheerful smile on his face even with the bitter taste of Toko’s answer in his mouth. He was to an extend aware of her situation yet scenes like this still continued to sadden him. Greed, powered by cruelty, was what drove this country. It didn’t suprise him anymore, the cruelty that some people were capable of.
“ Kyhihihi, Komurasaki can be veeery busy sometimes … I supoosee that means that you twooo~ Can enjoy some well earned free time .” They should have a few moments to breath and just be children. He wasn’t sure if it was even possible now considering the situation of the country, but he wished it for them.
Tilting his head, his gaze turned from Toko towards Apep, now laying giggling on the ground. A gesture that immediatly cheered him up a bit, she seemed like a very sweet girl. Or dog ? Perhaps a puppy !
He was glad that Toko had found a friend to keep her some company, even if with the connection to the Beasts caused him some worry. “ I havn’t introduced myself to you yeeet havn’t I~ They call me ‘Akikaze’, but you can simply call me Koji !”
Wooden fingers rubbed against each other, Kojited to think, the bad feeling of the girls food loss still lingering inside him. “ Youuu knooww …”, a sly smile forming on his face. “ since I am the reason that meeaan little mouse stole your food~ why don’t I buy youu something, hmm ?”
A feeling of hunger had been bothering him for some time now and food was more enjoyable in company.
Apep hopped up to her feet and walked right on over to where Toko stood, standing next to the other wide smile’d girl and leaning against her, long fluffy ginger hair only seeming to get more fluffy when pressed against Toko’s shoulder. The light lukiki only vibrating between her throat and quietly out her nearly closed lips. Strange pupil-less eyes staring while the white mass between the irises shifted and changed. A strange child, for sure, with red symbols that marked her face. Yet aside, she looked normal, just slightly taller than Toko but likely the same age...
Toko, rather was standing there adjusting as she stood only when Apep had leaned against her did she shift to have more minimalistic movements, although she still looked like she was about to bounce out of her socks and dance or something at any moment, perhaps it came with that wide smile that both of them seemed to wear at all points, never fading. Akikaze... She didn’t remember that, not at all! And by Apep’s slow in her laugh then quickened after a few seconds passed, she didn’t either. Koji was short and nice, Toko thought a moment and nodded--
“ Hahahahaa! Okay Koji-san! Nice to meet yoouu--.... ”
Toko took a second of silence before immediately yelling out in blissful laughter--
“ OOOOHHAHAHA--!! Doggie-kun doesn’t introduce herself, hahaha!! I call her Doggie-kun haha because she’s goes all doggiee!! But her name is o-Apep!! Apep!! Hahaha!! ”
Toko, for a moment, tried to lift up the rather unsuspecting ginger but gave up after--well--not being able to and instead just laughed the attempt off and bobbed on the soles of her feet. In reaction, Apep sorta balanced on one foot and nearly fell over but caught herself and smiled, quiet a moment before continuing her quiet laughter. She didn’t speak, she wasn’t supposed to speak, only laugh~ And dance~ And smile~ And help~ That’s what she knew she was supposed to do. Like Toko! Toko then jumped and spread her arms, spinning as she spoke before slowing her spin to a stop and nearly falling over onto Apep before she finished her sentence.
“ UWAAAH! You don’t NEED TOO!! Hahahaaa.... Food sounds good though haha.. ”
