So... I’m Planning a Book Series
This might not surprise some of you. This might surprise everyone or no one.
So, why am I talking about it here? Well, for starters, to advertise it but also because I’ve remade my blog for the series, which is called The Blood Series (named after the extended quote ‘blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb’). After the blog became cluttered with writing advice, which is not what it was intended for, I decided that I’d need to start again. It looks much better now.
It currently has no posts or followers, and I’m super passionate about this book series especially. I’ve been planning it for about half a decade; I’ve designed history, lore, humanoid species, worlds, afterlifes and about fifty characters for this series. So much dedication has gone into this project and I’d hate for it to die quietly.
I’ll be posting character bios, excerpts and more on the blog, and it’ll be where I answer questions about the series.
The book series’ elevator pitch is this: ten mostly gay teens go on a road trip around England to collect items for a ritual to resurrect the gods while several groups chase them.
Intrigued? You can follow the blog here. You’ll probably want to read the warning, the cast, the full synopsis and the author pages.
Please at least reblog this, I’m super passionate about getting this series known, written and published. I’ll most likely have a page with my other ideas for stories somewhere but it’ll be mostly for The Blood Series. I can’t say much about its future, perhaps a Patreon or commissions or something like that.
Thank you for reading this post, please reblog and, if you’re interested, follow the blog.

The House of Differences Chapter One - Preview
“Do you really think this’ll work?”
Soul glanced over at Aniyah, whose hands were obviously wrapped tightly around the steering wheel. They looked out the window and scanned the abandoned town the two of them were entering before looking back at her.
“Well, you want to talk to your little crush, right?”
Aniyah rolled her eyes at their response and gripped the wheel tighter. “She’s not my crush anymore, you should know this…”
“Not even after ten years?”
“Especially not after ten years.”
“Yeah, sure, alright- whatever you say.” Soul grinned as Aniyah sighed loudly. They returned to staring out the window. “...Damn bitch, you drive slow.”
“Shut up, you’re passenger-seat driving.”
“If we were in England, and we were in the same seats we’re in right now, I would be actually driving.”
“Just- shut up. We’re almost there.”
“If you say so.”
The two vagabonds eventually reached their destination; Aniyah pulled towards a house, decaying but miraculously keeping some colour. There were vines, moss, branches, and flowers covering the premises, but that at least helped with the “abandoned ghost town aesthetic” vibe this whole place was giving off. Aniyah stepped out of the car with Soul soon following after. They both walked up to the house, looking up at it. They glanced at each other.
Aniyah cleared her throat. “Well… You first.”
“Oh, no no no, ladies first.”
“I hate you,” Aniyah said with a sigh before pressing up the porch’s steps, creaking the door open. She let Soul enter as well before shutting the door behind them. She tried turning on the light, and she groaned when it didn’t work.
“Hey, Aniyah, catch!”
“Wha-”
Soul tossed a flashlight at her, and Aniyah scrambled to catch it. Soul laughed at her, earning a glare.
“Wow, thanks.”
“You’re so welcome.”
They continued into the house and made it downstairs in their old friend’s room. Soul placed their bag on the bed as Aniyah sat at the desk. Soul handed her the Ouija board and the planchette before sitting next to her.
A few minutes passed by before Soul smacked Aniyah’s arm.
“Hey- what was that for!?”
“For you taking your sweet ass time.”
“I- look, I just don’t know how to start this-”
“Are you shitting me?”
“Shut up, I’m starting.”

Of course! ☆ Aniyah
Do you like monsters? Do you like problematic characters? Do you like world building that’s based off our actual world? Romance? Angst?
Then you’ll love The House of Differences, a multi-chaptered story where, within ten years, the population of monsters surged from nearly none to rivalling the population of humans, which fell as monsters fed on and converted them, and so the world changed to combat them.
Follow the main characters - Aniyah, a turned vampire; Lilo, a runover girl gone ghost; Megann, a girl cursed to be a siren; and Soul, a human cursed to be a dragon within a human body - as they travel on the road to find their way to a Monster Haven in a monster-hating world, and meet the people who help them on their way... or seek to put them in harm’s way...
