Running will be there 7am while he’s on his work shift. The hills and trails will be there when there are no arms to comfort you. The clouds will gaze down upon your most glorious moments when no soul is there to witness them. The trees will never utter anything about your messy braid, no makeup or sweaty shirt. Only love what can love you back unconditionally.

updated ab transformation pic: fifty pound gain between the two. I really wish I didn’t delete all the other pictures of different body parts but I cringe looking at them tbh so I got rid of them. never in a billion years did I ever think I’d be where I’m at today both physically & mentally. I was ready to give up & just die. I didn’t think I’d ever be able to recover because my mind was so washed away & I was counting down the days until my death. food was my biggest nightmare. I remember waking up early in the morning before anyone else in my family just to make a little mess in the kitchen to make it seem like I had eaten breakfast. I wasn’t eating enough to keep an infant alive. I used to read every. single. ingredient on whatever I put into my mouth & if my mind didn’t “like” one of them I wouldn’t dare even touch it. the only “safe” foods I had were oats, sometimes chicken, plus certain fruits & veggies. I torn apart feeding tubes because they didn’t “fit my calories” I yelled at nurses, my own mom, you name it I did it. collapsing was an hourly ritual for me. I used to water load to the point where I’d throw up just so I can hit a certain weigh in with my doc then get upset when they’re still not satisfied. after them not being satisfied, I began only drinking half a cup of water per day because I didn’t like being “bloated”. I isolated myself from every single person. I was unable to even think about anything because of how starved I was. I went to bed around seven-eight every evening just to avoid my mom trying to force me to eat. my nails & hair were brittle, my hair was falling out in clumps, my skin was dry & my face was pale. everyone would ask me if I’m sick or what has happened to me & I’d lash out at them. I was never able to sleep because I was always reciting every single thing I had eaten that day along with the amount of calories. I’d stand in front of the mirror every day for hours on end telling myself that I’m too fat & need to lose more weight yet I was a dangerously low weight. I remember taking these pictures as a “starting point” to lose more weight. I did not even know how to communicate with point anymore at that point. I used to get crippling anxiety attacks over food. fast forward to now… no “fear” foods. I LOVE training, food, hanging out with friends, LIVING. I don’t weigh out my food twelve times (literally) like I used to. once is enough. I no longer burn off 2000 calories worth of cardio while only consuming less than ¼ of that. (what even is a cardio now lmao) my point here is that THERE IS LIFE AFTER AN EATING DISORDER. mental gains are just as strong as physical gains. I still have bad days mentally & that is 110% okay. recovery is not linear but the good days immensely outweigh the bad days. recovering is hard as hell & the toughest thing I’ve ever had to battle but it’s more than worth it. I’ll forever be grateful for having a second chance to live.
I am going to Bandidas tonight & getting this burrito again because it is SO GOOD. Cumin roasted potatoes, pinto beans, veggies, vegan cheese, & purple cabbage. Topped it with a spicy pepper sauce 😍
I just have this happy personality and a sad soul in one body. It feels weird sometimes.
