It’s my favourite kind of day today, one where the cold wind makes your eyes water and the bright winter sun defrosts your skin. The wind carries memories, of running along Riley’s street when we were 15, and of chasing spots of sunshine in the schoolyard to gossip in with my friends when we were 17. It’s the joy of a dry winters day after gloom and rain which depresses you and instills only an urge to stay in bed for as long as physically possible.
