Summary: You come across a letter of Bills that you weren’t supposed to see

This is probably so bad I wrote this barely awake and there’s probably many story errors and spelling/grammar ones. That’s okay though because this world is lacking hand written fanfics these days with AI.

It wasn’t suppose to be like this. It’s too late now, he knows. That, you know that he was offered the curse breaking job in Egypt.

It’s not like you went looking for the letter, it was open in the bedroom on his nightstand. I mean he probably wasn’t expecting you to be in his room without being invited. But in fairness he did invite you over to the Burrow to spend some time together since you guys did just graduate Hogwarts.

You didn’t mean to see what was written you just wanted to pick up the book on the night stand to entertain yourself till he came back from what you assume is the bathroom. To grab said book you had to be in front of the night stand, and as you grab the book you looked down curious of the letter. You were just expecting it to be from a friend not freaking Gringotts. Bill had shared with you in the past that it was his dream to be a curse breaker. After you got off the shock of finding out this unassuming letter was from Gringotts the letter became very interesting. You couldn’t stop yourself from reading the letter after all Bill was 18 it’s not like Gringotts goes around giving job offers to freshly graduates.

You read all the letter and you weren’t surprised that they gave Bill the job, he was a very talented Curse breaker after all even though he has no professional experience. What shocked you was the fact that this letter was clearly sent and delivered at least 2 days ago. This is big news of his and he hasn’t shared this with you yet, which shocks you since you guys have been dating for 2 years now. It’s big news you now this. You also now this will ruin your guy’s plans to go out and have a simple life living in Shell Cottage, with simple jobs, and possibly getting married. Every thing would have to be pushed off. That was fine with you to be honest, after all he did just get the job of his dream.

You heard foot steps coming from down the hall, that took you out of your trans. You quickly finish grabbing the book you ment to get in the first place and sat on the side of his bed. You opened the book to the 5th page to look like you weren’t doing anything else like reading said open letter well also making it so it didn’t look like you were there for awhile. You just hope he wouldn’t release that you could have read the letter well getting the book.

Right as the foot steps sound like they’re going to pass the door in comes Bill. He was dressed in sweats and a shirt that seems worn down with a few patches that Molly definitely patched the shirt with. He look mildly shocked that you were there in his room. You looked up from your booked as he closed the door and greeted him, “Hey, I thought you would’ve been in here.” He chuckled, “Well i see you still invited yourself in and made yourself comfortable.” “Wow are you complaining that I am in your room like I’m one of the twins?” You faked hurt, “Never I’m glad it’s you not Fred or George, or even worse both.” He joked as he walked over to you placing a kiss to your cheek, you smiled. “Well that’s reassuring to hear Weasley. I wouldn’t want to be unwelcome in your private space.” You joked he laughed at that, you really hoped that he hasn’t figured out yet that you know.

You closed the booked, well Bill looked over at the table he saw the letter wide open. He wasn’t dumb he knew the book was by the letter and he knew you probably read the whole entire letter. He realized in that moment this decision was now not just known by him and Gringotts it also included you. Even if he was going to reject it he would have to tell you now and he knew you would not support him doing that, but would still stay and support him. He also knew he would only reject the offer because he wanted to be close with you and start that simple life planned. “You read it didn’t you?” Before you could respond he continued, “I also know you would be disappointed in me if I reject this offer.” “I did read the letter and yes I would be disappointed if you refused this job. However you also know I will support you no matter your choice and also wait for you.”

That is how you ended up away from Bill for 6 years, 6 years that could’ve been spent living a simple life by the sea. That doesn’t matter to you most of the time especially when you got his letters or when you got your short visits together because you saw how happy he was even if he was drained form his hours and hard task. He was happy at his job and that’s what mattered to you. All though when he told you he requested for a desk job in order to join the order you were existed. Yes you were scared of what was happening in the wizarding world, and the reason for the switch in job. Although it ment you got bill back and that brought joy to you.

When he sent you the letter telling you he was going to move into the Shell Cottage and he wanted you to join like you guys planned back in your last year of school you were ecstatic. You admittedly wrote your letter saying you would move in. It only took you guys 2 days after he officially left his job in Egypt to move both your guy’s stuff into the house. Unpacking well that wasn’t done till a week after moving in even with magic.

Life was going good well it’s now ignoring all the stuff going on with the dark Lord and his followers which is hard. Life was like how it should’ve been in the cottage 6 years ago but you would wait 6 more year for Bill no matter what.

If you truly read this thank you and what is wrong with you. No I’m just joking and am so desperate these days i read bad fics all the time just to have something to read especially with a character that barely gets anything. Sorry for my mistakes this is my first time actually writing a true fic.
