It was the 3rd night sleeping over at Jonghyun’s house that the week. Your home was becoming just a house and quite frankly, a danger zone. With Jonghyun, you felt better, although guilt was sinking in as you felt like you were burdening him as well as your family. Flopping down on Jonghyun’s bed next to him, you let out a large, loud sigh, your head pounding with everything that was on your mind. You closed your eyes for a moment, trying to calm yourself before gazing blankly at the TV. Jonghyun looked up from his phone and at you, concern in his magical eyes. He shifted on to his side to face you and stared at you until you were forced to look at him.
“Are you going to tell me what’s wrong?”
He asked, hitting a sensitive subject. You wasn’t good at sharing your feelings. As much as you wanted to tell people how you felt, you couldn’t help but feel like you were just spreading the misery on to other people.
“Nothing’s wrong. I’m fine.”
You replied, putting on your best fake smile. You knew Jonghyun wouldn’t believe it no matter how good it was.
“(Y/N), please, tell me what’s wrong. You’ve been like this for weeks. I’m worried.”
His words crushed your heart along with his gorgeous face which had panic written all over it. You understood that it was frustrating for him not to know what was going on but you honestly thought you were doing what was best.
“I can’t Jonghyun. I can’t tell you.”
He knew about your verbally abusive father, only because he had witnessed it happening to you first hand. It was the first time he’d found out about it as afterwards, you were forced to explain why your dad was calling you and your mother such horrendous things. If he hadn’t of seen it, he would have never known the hell you had to go through at home. Sweetly, he took your hand in his as your eyes started to pool up with tears.
“I’m your boyfriend, you can tell me anything. If you don’t talk to me about stuff, who else are you supposed to share things with? It’s the reason I’m here. How am I supposed to look after you Jagi?”
You bit down hard on your lip, your pulse racing anxiously and your head hurting so much that you thought it was going to explode. Jonghyun was right; he was there to share things with, good or bad and you trusted him a lot. He was the perfect listener. Finally, you began to share what was happening.
“It’s my dad again Jongy. We had a huge fight because I stood up to him when he was shouting at my mum and he started screaming at me, calling me names and telling me I should get out. I can’t do it anymore. I need to move out but I have no where to go because I have no money…”
By this point, tears were spilling from your eyes and down your face uncontrollably. Jonghyun tried to wipe the tears as you spoke, listening intently to you with sad eyes; he hated it when you cried, it hurt him deeply.
“I have no money and no other place to go so I have no choice but to live in fear with him. I don’t know what to do.”
You sobbed hard. You were afraid that you would pass on the sadness to Jonghyun who pulled you close against his chest and cuddled you. He let you cry as he stroked your hair slowly and gently, trying to ease your pain. All he wanted to do was make it better for you.
“Jagiya, isn’t it obvious? You can come and live with me. I’ll take care of you.”
“I can’t do that to you Jonghyun. I can’t come in here and be a burden. You’ll get sick of me and I don’t want to lose you. I already feel so bad for staying here so much. I just don’t want to go home.”
You felt Jonghyun wipe the remaining wetness from your face with a tissue, making you look up at him. You noticed he was raising his eyebrows in disbelief.
“You’re silly Jagiya. You’re not a burden! You do realize that as soon as you leave this place I miss you, right? I want you to stay here, with me, forever. You make me so happy. Of course I want you to live with me! In fact, I’m asking you to move in with me. Please move in with me. I need you here.”
His words made you you smile like a lunatic but you were incredibly happy that he loved you so much, he wanted to live with you. You sniffled and wiped your damp eyes, making him chuckle warmly.
“Really? You want me to stay here?”
You felt like you had to double check although you were sure he wasn’t lying.
Affectionately, he kissed your forehead. It didn’t take a lot for him to mend you.
He gazed in to your eyes so lovingly that it was like each time his heart beat, it was dedicated to you.
“I don’t know how to thank you.”
You told him; you didn’t know how to thank such an angel.
His arms wrapped around you tighter which you relished, his scent making you feel comforted and kissed your cheek.
“Well, firstly I want you to come to me whenever you’re upset or stressed and talk to me about it. Secondly, just you being my girl is enough. I don’t want anything but your love.”
Up until that moment, you thought you couldn’t love Jonghyun any more but he made you fall for him over and over again. He was the type of man you dreamed of as a little girl, your very own Prince Charming.
You whispered, beaming at him. Sensually, he lowered his head to kiss you, caressing and making love to your lips with his. He cupped your cheek delicately with his hand as he deepened the kiss, teasing your tongue and tugging lightly on your bottom lip. Your heart pounded hard against your chest; you just wanted to soak up the ambiance that was happening in the room with the candles flickering and the moonlight shining in. Making you groan, he pulled away, leaving you wanting more.
