For three decades, Richard Schmidt has stood for reliability, down-to-earth values, and entrepreneurial vision. This year, we are celebrating a very special milestone: Richard Schmidt has been with h/p/cosmos sports & medical gmbh for 30 years!
An extraordinary career that serves as a prime example of what is possible with dedication, professional expertise, and passion.
Richard Schmidt began his professional career with h/p/cosmos as an electrician in 1996. Even in those early years, he was characterized by a strong technical understanding, a sense of responsibility, and an eye for practical solutions—qualities that were valued not only in daily operations but also by his colleagues.
As his experience grew, Richard Schmidt took on increasing responsibility—initially in the technical field, and later progressively in administration, HR management, and finance. His deep understanding of processes, products, and, above all, people, formed the foundation for his next steps: his appointment as Technical Operations Manager in 2006, followed by being granted Authorized Signatory (Prokurist) in 2007. Even in these roles, he contributed significantly to the company's further development and played an active part in shaping key strategic decisions.
The logical next step followed 10 years ago with his appointment as Managing Director in 2016. In this capacity, Richard Schmidt continues to play a decisive role in shaping h/p/cosmos today. His leadership style is clear, empathetic, reliable, and characterized by mutual respect. He combines entrepreneurial thinking with technical depth, never losing sight of the people involved.
Today, Richard Schmidt is forming the Top Management Board of h/p/cosmos sports & medical gmbh together with Alexander Böck (also Managing Director), Dr. Björn Zimmermann (Authorized Signatory) and Nadine Schott (Authorized Signatory).
Among those offering their congratulations was, of course, h/p/cosmos company co-founder Franz Harrer.
30 years with h/p/cosmos represent more than just professional milestones; they represent countless projects, challenges, successes, and shared moments. We would like to sincerely thank Richard Schmidt for this commitment, his decades of loyalty, and his continuous drive for development.
