hey lovebugs, 

we have some news for you all that is always going to be a sad message to deliver, and we know an even harder one to read. collectively, the admins have decided that we will be closing golden. this isn't something any of us wanted to do, and we're so sorry things are turning out this way. closing golden is not a light decision, it's lasted a good run and brought us incredible characters and connections, as well as introduced us to some amazing writers. sadly, we just don't have a lot of muse for it anymore and don't think it's right to force on when we aren't happy.

the characters you brought here are your own, so always feel free to continue on with your babes & plots as you see fit. nothing about the golden plot is original, so we more than encourage you to keep writing if that is what you want to do. in case anyone wants to keep in touch, we'll leave the discord up for a few days so you can add whoever you wish, and listed below are the admins' personal blogs/discords in case you want to keep in touch that way as well. we love you all, and wish you nothing but the best, and we're so sorry again that this is how things worked out.

hey everyone ! 

we want to encourage organic connections, and the best way to do that is through open starters. we’d REALLY love to give the starter tag a bit of a refresh and get a bunch of new opens in there, so we’re giving everyone a free starter ! you can post one without responding to any others, but then hopefully you see some new opens that catch your muse and reply to them. so pretty please take advantage & post an open !! this also helps new people integrate more easily into the roleplay, which is definitely a goal i know we all share. 

secondly, we’ve removed the rule requiring you to reply to opens before posting a closed starter call. while the intent of this rule was to encourage people to branch out and not have the same people posting/responding to closed starters, we also recognize that it may be limiting interactions over all.
