the elpis vault hunters were the only ones angel would pick that would also work directly for jack, face-to-face, and it's just. that had to have been on her mind.

like. athena was terribly wronged by the atlas corporation and she went on a revenge spree against anything and anyone atlas; what difference would one more corporation with a greek name on that list be? it may not be a sure thing, but surely it's still a chance if angel only got a chance to contact her directly, to make her situation known.

wilhelm is motivated by money and getting more cybernetics. angel herself warns jack how he'd be "more machine than a man" in the future and, disturbing though, i know, but. phaseshift is pretty handy for that. don't even need to pay if she can just get access to wilhem's cybernetics.

and nisha. . . she was literally a bandit. angel knew that. took the shot anyway, and why not when nisha was known for killing officials who were "bandit leaders who murdered their way into positions of power."—and wouldn't you guess what jack does at the end of the pre-sequel.

it may have been a long shot, but for angel, it might just have been her only one; why would it not be on her mind?

The worst characters are the ones were you only get like three pieces of lore about them but the lore is so fascinating and hits your brain at just the right angle to have you behaving like a feral dog in front of your conspiracy theory cork board

sometimes i remember that nisha has a sister and the area that reminded her of her sister looked like a toddler's playroom and i really really really need to know how old nisha was when she left home (and just in general bc one of her class mods gives her the moniker "the kid" which yes is a reference but still) and whether that was before or wayyy after her mother died bc there's definitely a significant difference in age between nisha and her sister and and and—
