If you're in the Ohio area, and you're in too much pain to bear, don't hesitate to call 988. I put it off for too long, thinking that they would never understand. And, at first, I thought I was right. It was questions about my support network, questions about religion (when it went there I nearly hung up), questions about my hobbies, tea or coffee?...then it just turned into conversation about my whole life. The good stuff, mainly. So, the call started with me crying so hard they could barely understand me, and turned into a validating & empowering conversation. Of course, I don't feel 100%, but maybe I'm at a 30%, now? Whatever it is, it's better than it was.

We lost our 'tucky wildcat Thursday night. I was with her as she passed, reminding her how much she was loved & how happy she made our family. I hope she understood & was comforted. She was an old girl & it was her time, but it's still hard. Especially on Nanny. They had a special bond.
