after helping out morpheus ( sandman, mr dream of the endless ) find his lost pouch of sand, john constantine is able to have lucid dreams. it doesn't always work. if he's having a nightmare intense enough that he can't remember he's dreaming, it won't work. but when he can tell that he's actually just asleep, he can usually change any nightmare he's having into something more pleasant. or, at least, something not as disturbing
