I found this really cool digital archive of letters written by 4th~13thc women!
Epistolae is a collection of letters to and from women in the Middle Ages, from the 4th to the 13th century. The letters, written in Latin,
pulvis et umbra sumus - we are but dust and ash
a zinc plate etching (printed from a plate into which I etched the image with acid). wanted to make something more intricate, something about the fleeting nature of the universe, and this came out. original prints available in my shop here!
