Welcome to another episode of Feel Good Fridays. For today's episode I wanted to piggy back on the blog I wrote last week, that if anything happened to me it wasn't by my hand.
So instead I will tell you how much I love my life. Do I have bad times? Absolutely. Do I get my heart broken? Yes, and it may happen again.
Do I get down, feel defeated? Yes, of course, I am human, and we all feel these feelings.
But all in all, I love my life and I am so grateful for it each and every day. Two weeks ago I went to see my best friend for his birthday.
Then last weekend I stayed home to catch up on things here. Every morning I woke up early to do my 4 miles around the lake. As I was walking listening to my gospel music I was smiling, my heart was filled with joy. I was so incredibly grateful for the day, for the sun, the birds, the breeze, for life and all that God made. I started crying as I was overwhelmed by the feeling of gratitude.
This is how each and every one of us should feel every day, so grateful that it brings us to tears. Look I get it, lately everyone is complaining about gas prices and the cost of living and I get it, it sucks. But I refuse to complain while other humans in Ukraine and now Iran and other countries have no homes. They took whatever they could carry and ran, not knowing if they would ever have a home again.
I refuse to complain because I have a home, I have a job to be able to fill up my car. Hell, I have a car! Those people would gladly trade places with you and me. So how can I possibly complain?
So today my friends, I get it, that we are living in extraordinary times. We don't know what will happen tomorrow. We are scared but we must remember, wherever you are in this life, remember my mother's favorite saying “This too shall pass” and be grateful for the things you have right now because it could always be worse. We must all learn to love our lives and be grateful for them.
We all need to be the change we want to see.
