it’s funny cause I’ve made this same post probably 10 times in the last 15 years but if harry or louis would ever calmly, compassionately, throughly, non-confrontationally sit down and say “hey we were really good friends but no nothing happened between us” it would all have been over a decade ago. my belief that they were together has a lot to do too w how it was handled

I don’t claim to have all the puzzle pieces to make every piece of information make sense. I do think they were together during the band. I do think harry broke the band. How those two fit together requires much more information than I have.

let me be clear, I think Louis is either misremembering or not telling the truth on his knowledge that there was an impending break on the band. Regardless of larry. I simply cannot believe he didn’t know. My personal theory has always been that they knew since 2013 that the band was probably going to break after OTRA and that is one of the reasons why I think Zayn leaving was so annoying to the others at the time (ie “dude just hold on for a few more months”)

yes on selfish, no on being a bad person because of it. As I said he had a career he wanted to follow, he had the opportunity to do it and he did it. I dont see how that makes him a bad person. He wasn’t leaving ot3 starving to death underneath a bridge. They would be fine for life w their feet up.

also I think louis may have been a bittttt too naive if he didn’t think the clock was ticking on 1d. Like it might have been a surprise that it was that day or something but overall it cant have been a surprise.

literally 100% of the time when a member of one direction is vague about who in the band they are talking about it is because they are talking about harry. everyone else gets named dropped even if it puts them in a bad light. vague mention = harry. Trust.

nah but he said it very clearly that it was one person and we know it was harry. This has come up with all of the boys in different contexts so here is a cheat sheet: all the boys will name drop each other when it comes to not great stuff they did EXCEPT that none of them will name drop harry. I’m dead serious. If you ever hear niall/zayn/louis/liam (in past interviews) saying someone in the band did something and they sre vague on who it was, it was harry. They are all (perhaps rightfully) dead scared of harry’s following and will not name him

louis gets about ten million points in my book for not only caring about liam in private but being willing WHILE LIAM WAS ALIVE AND HATED to defend him in public. that’s a man w a spine and a lot of compassion.

also what is this collective amnesia related to the fact that harry was the one that ended the band? We knew that? It’s not hot tea in any way. It says nothing about harry except that he was actively being scouted for solo opportunities and it was time for him to do them. It was gonna happen, it’s not like boybands last forever.

Maybe it’s my age showing but now looking back at how young the boys were in 1d I kinda forgive/don’t care about some of the questionable choices/attitudes they all had at some point. They were 20 year old boys. Have you met a 20 year old boy. Like.
