cliff diving extravaganza; (seb & landon )

As soon as Sebastian got done speaking with Landon, he could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins. He hadn’t been cliff diving in awhile, and he couldn’t wait to jump off. Sebastian knew that it was Landon’s first time, and he was praying that he wouldn’t chicken out. Sure, cliff diving is fun enough without other people, but it was a lot better when there were other people experiencing it. Plus, he would’ve been able to show off, and who doesn’t love doing that?

His phone buzzed with a text from Landon. Seeing the message, he mumbled a few profanities. He was still in his pajamas, so he still needed to change. He typed a quick reply to Landon. I’ll come to you. I’ll be there in a couple of minutes, home skillet. He waited a second before he sent him another message, Unless you’re gonna chicken out. Sure, it may have been rude to some people, but it was funny to Seb. He hopped off the couch and walked to his room where he put on his light blue swim trunks and pulled a sleeveless band shirt over his head. He looked into the mirror and ran a hand through his hair, but it was obviously not going to be settled down anytime soon.

He grabbed his keys by the door and set out to his car. It was the usual van, the ones that were everywhere around California near the beach. He had gotten it much to the dismay of his parents, but he found it easy to put his surfboards in and haul them around to beaches. He realized that his boards were still in the back, and he just rolled his eyes. He was too lazy to take them out and bring them into his house. Sebastian started the car and Blink 182 began to blast out of the radio. He was so used to it, it didn’t faze him at all. The drive to Landon’s place was quick and easy, and once he was sitting outside Landon’s place, he honked his horn lightly.

A chirp from his phone drew him from his mental panic attack and his blue gaze looked down at it. It was a text from Sebastian; a reply obviously. He read it quickly and nodded his head. The corners of his lips lifted as he texted a reply, Alright. I'll be waiting. And remember don't text and drive. See you soon, weirdo. He hit send and then got the other text that Sebastian sent him. Landon scoffed and rolled his eyes as he typed back a reply. I'm not going to back out. He was determinded not to chicken out because if he did, he would regret it and that was not okay according to the boy. He already committed to the act, he needed to follow through. Standing up from the bar stool, Landon went around his apartment, making sure that everything was in the correct order and to make sure that he, himself, didn't forget anything that he would need for cliff diving. That would be his sunglasses, towel, sandals, camera, and phone. That was pretty much it. He stuffed the items into a drawstring bag and held the strings in his hand. he felt the bass from an approaching car and he glanced out it window. It was Sebastian's van. A smile spread across Landon's lips as he grabbed his keys, locked his apartment, and ran down the two flights of stairs to meet the the van. The smile brightened as he opened the passenger side door and slid into the van, putting his bag down at his feet. "Hey Seb! Let's go rock this cliff diving!" Landon said, excitement evident in his voice. Even though he soudned excited, his blue eyes told a different story. They were full of nervousness and dread. He put on his seatbelt and started tapping his foot to the beat of the song. He used it to hid his nerves and leaned back in the seat, resting his right arm up on the door window and the other on his lap.

cliff diving extravaganza; (seb & landon )

Landon's nerves were on edge as he finished talking to Sebastian. They were going to go cliff diving and Landon has never been. He gulped and quickly changed into his camouflage swimming trunks and threw on a plain black tank top. He sighed, trying to calm himself down, but it was all in vain. He knew that he wasn't going to calm down until he did his first jump. His eyes would be shut tight and his arms and legs would be tucked in, making a ball shape and thus a cannonball would be formed. He gulped again and ran his fingers through his hair, having some of the strands stick up. His hair didn't really bother him in the least. He was so used to having it disarrayed that when it was that way it didn't make him want to fix it. It was when it was flat that kind of bothered him. For most of his life, he has had his hair flat and only recently has he had it quiffed. Shaking himself off, Landon walked to his kitchen and picked up his phone, sending a quick text to Sebastian. Hey, I'm ready whenever you are. Do you want me to pick you up or are you gonna pick me up? When he hit send, he placed his phone back down on his counter and walked to his fridge to get himself something to drink. There was barely anything in his fridge. Only a few containers of take out chinese and half a gallon of milk. He sighed heavily and shut it, quite disappointed at himself for not going to get groceries. The brunette searched through the cabinets and found a package of crackers to gnaw on to settle his stomach that was flip-floping. He sat down on a bar stool at the island counter and looked down at his phone. No new notifications. Landon shrugged, not really caring, he was glad that Sebastian hadn't texted him back quite yet. He didn't know if he was ready to go. Should he call him and cancel? But what excuse should he give? That he was sick? That he broke a bone? Allie wanted him to babysit? So far, all those were false and highly unlikely, well, except the babysitting one. He did babysit for Allie a lot. He loved doing it too. He licked his lips and finished up the last cracker he had. Even though it seemed like hours had passed by, it was just merely minutes. Landon was still nervous about going cliff diving and there was nothing to be scared about. He was just being a baby. Just a baby. That's all that he had to tell himself. Is that he was being a baby. Just a baby. It wouldn't be bad at all and he would have Sebastian there. Sebastian has done this before and he was trustworthy. There was literally nothing to be scared about, and yet, he was still scared.
