years of nearly constant work had lead to this exact moment. the entire thing was nerve-wracking, kenny’s hands shaking throughout the entire interview. trying to establish himself away from his father wasn’t something he planned on doing, ever, but here was doing just that. after that gruelling hour and a half, he’s finally free and before he does anything, he sits on a bench and just sags. “christ, i need to drink an entire bar.”
he was minding his own business, sitting comfortably and enjoying the newspaper. one of his legs propped up onto his knee. his face was hidden by the giant paper, but he heard someone slump into a seat near him. his blue eyes peaked over the newspaper, seeing a curly haired stranger before him. he muttered out a few words, causing hudson to chuckle. “rough day? or rough life?” he interjected, hoping to lighten the stranger’s mood with a light-hearted joke.
