Zico was growing more and more anxious the longer Yoongi remained silent and staring at him. His trepidation only grew when Yoongi reached into his robe. His eyes widened when he withdrew his wand. Zico’s eyebrows knitted together and he pressed himself back further against the cold stone wall. He knew that Yoongi disliked him. Was this a setup?!
Were the guys who had ambushed him actually friends of Yoongi? Had they beaten him down as much as they could so it’d be easier for Yoongi to finish him off? Was he really that angry about the time Zico had intervened when he was being bullied? Maybe his pride was hurt more than Zico had realized.
A dozen paranoid conspiracy theories flashed through his mind at once and surprisingly, he couldn’t muster the dedication to draw his own wand against Yoongi. Even pointing the wand at him, it trembled. He looked fragile in the dim light, drained and pallid. He didn’t want to fight against him, even if it meant losing, a surprising revelation. But instead of cursing him, Yoongi did the opposite, which was somehow even more surprising to the Slytherin.
He watched, eyes widening, as Yoongi healed his wounds instead of inflicting more. As eyes drifted back to Yoongi’s face, carefully analyzing his features and following his gaze as it settled on his lips. He licked them unconsciously, rewetting the drying blood, but that was soon healed too. Zico didn’t miss the color that rose in Yoongi’s cheeks as he stared, and the Slytherin couldn’t help seeing the Hufflepuff in a changing light. He was quite appealing with a rose hue on his cheeks.
As much as he wanted to chalk that blush up to the fact that Yoongi was attracted to him, even Zico’s ego couldn’t ignore the other signs. Another outcome seemed much more likely and it gave Zico an idea on how to proceed with things; a convenient resolution to their awkward situation.
“Sometimes the punks who cause trouble around here tell their older siblings that I’ve ruined their fun. I can usually handle things all right, but these fuckers jumped me after I’ve had a few too many,” Zico grumbled begrudgingly, forced to admit his defeat in the situation. It was important he minimize the outbreak of rumors, though. It’d be bad enough with the younger siblings gloating at school, but it’d be better if there were no witnesses to say otherwise. Right now, Yoongi was the only witness to the crime.
“You can’t tell anyone what happened,” Zico suddenly spoke up, eyes narrowing with seriousness. “I have a…reputation after all. I’m prepared to offer you an arrangement,” Zico went on as he reached up to unbutton the first few buttons of his shirt. Owl wings were always visible over his collar, but now Yoongi was met with the entire tattoo as Zico bared his neck. “For as long as you keep my secret, I’ll let you drink my blood whenever you want it.”
