Treasure || Bo & Hugo
A small smile could be seen on the young girlās lips when he laughed, tucking a loose red curl behind her ear as she looked up at him. She felt so much happier than she had the week before, slowly sinking back into her usual self even if the memories of before ate her up like a disease she couldnāt rid herself of. āWell you always knew what I liked, which iām grateful for of course.ā Bo replied as she moved her hand up to ruffle his playful brown curls, another gentle giggle escaping her lips as she dropped her hand back to her lap. Heād always had that effect on her though, one she couldnāt quite shake because he was one of the only people to put a real smile on her face and show genuine interest in her wellbeing.
The smaller red haired girl licked her lips happily, her eyes moving from his down to the strawberry ice cream before them. She took the spoon heād given her and dove right in, putting the spoon with a satisfied hum as she met Hugoās eyes once again. āOne tub of ice cream wonātĀ kill me.ā She said jokingly before thinking of her own words, her brows furrowing as she bit her lip and looked down. She knew to be more careful around her own self with words like that, still hitting home. With a sigh, she shook her head, putting on a smile for the boy as she looked back up at him. āSorry..still fresh.ā Bo said with a shrug, taking another spoonful of ice cream into her mouth.
Hugo watched as Bo was all smiles and bubbly-ness in front of him. He could see the injuries, not only the physical ones but also the ones thad had been made to her soul and he could feel his heart breaking a little bit because of it. But at the same time, the French boy could see how strong Bo really was and he knew that she would be okay again. Maybe it would take some time, but he knew, he just knew. A new set of giggles left his lips as the redheaded girl played with his curls, there was something about seeing Bo happy that made him happy as well. She was like the little sister Hugo never knew he wanted to have. Not until he met Bo.
The French boy took the other spoon he brought along and took some ice cream for himself, it was actually really good and he mentally congratulated himself for such good choices of ice cream. Her words, however, made him suddenly stiffen, sitting straight in the bed as he looked over at Bo. His gaze had turned serious again as the anger of when he first found out she was in the hospital came back to him. He had promised to beat the shit out of this person and he was gonna keep that promise. No one could hurt people Hugo cared about and get away with it that easily. And now more than ever. He felt as if he needed to make sure that this person would never hurt Bo again. The French boy looked over at the petite girl with serious eyes, "Princess, I'm gonna ask you a question and I need you to be honest with me, yeah?" he said, his voice a bit cold as he placed his spoon back in the tub. "Who did this to you, Bo?"Ā
