Writer-director Lars von Trier (Antichrist, Melancholia) warns that his new movie, The House That Jack Built, is his most brutal effort to date - a bold statement, given his filmography - and the first trailer below seems to confirm that fact.

The serial killer film will have its world premiere at Cannes this week before being released via IFC Films later this year. Matt Dillon, Bruno Ganz, Uma Thurman, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Sofie Gråbøl, Riley Keough, Jeremy Davies, and Ji-tae Yu star.
