Thousand Year Metaphors

Fingers slid into the newly bloomed flower as to pluck out young seeds, one by one. He'd been waiting for a few days to obtain them, though he would have preferred they'd be ready sooner. Work kept his hands tied deftly behind his back in the sense of business, leaving little to no time to serve the plants before him, so they could serve him. Keeping up appearances in high maintenance situations was always his strong suit, but it never became easier. 

A quiet sigh tempted it's way to his lips, yet Kurama wouldn't let it free. This was what he had chosen, and as he plucked a few more seeds, his mood threatened to tip over. The wooden box holding the seeds make him think of symbolism he'd rather not compare, and letting his new weapons fall into their respective places within the box until needed had him uncomfortable. 

He had no time to ponder when a presence became known to him.

Describe a time when you were chased.

"In my earlier days of thieving, when I first began, it wasn’t uncommon to be chased. Some merchants would go surprisingly far." He withheld a bitter smile, continuing.

"There was a time with Kuronue, we had stolen a family heirloom of sorts, and on the expedition after obtaining it, a small group came to retrieve it. Unfortunately for them, it was near one of my dens. I must press how high my security was then. It didn't end well for them."
