WE ARE A VERY SERIOUS BAND, WITH SERIOUS LASER EYEBALLS.
Seriously though, we are so excited to play Black Cat in one week (9/22) with Fellow Creatures and Shining Blade Theory.
DANCE WITH US LIKE MANY COLORS
Playing the Luce Unplugged series at the @americanartmuseum in a few days. It’s gonna be luxurious.
we are playing a fancy new venue with rocknroll superheroes The Effects and secret D.C. masterminds The Sherrod Brothers and we will be wearing costumes.
Here's a fairly terrible photo of @ohhihaybaby thoroughly rocking my basement last night. #haybitches
<a href="http://haybaby.bandcamp.com/album/superpresent">SUPERPRESENT by Haybaby</a>
Haybaby: [Brooklyn, NY] More grungy stuff from Brooklyn to please your ear holes. If grunge pop was a thing, Haybaby might take the crown. It’s a pretty easy listen with lots of dynamic changes to the songs, keeping you interested and begging for more. Where you might expect the lead singer to scream, she maintains her soft, ephemeral vocals. They can make you cry, they can make you smile, and they can make you sit and listen in awe.
Favorite Track: “Noodles”
RIYL: Grunge pop
930club likes haybabymusic, you probably will too. Catch them and whiskeybitches (and us!) at the Dougout next weds, 3/25!
Emerging briefly from the recording cocoon to play at The Dougout with haybabymusic and whiskeybitches 3/25. I made this poster! -x
Beat Babies, Weekend 1
This past weekend we drove up into the wild hills of Maryland to Beat Babies Recording Studio, domain of engineer extraordinaire Chris Freeland. Chris recorded our heroes Wye Oak and lowerdens, and local homies Letitia Van Sant and ROM (among many others), so we felt very lucky to be there and very much at home. Dave dutifully documented our time there, see below for the evidence. And some tiny snippets of sound, but don’t get yr hopes up. Yet. -x

While CDs of The Great Resolve are already pretty special, it seemed appropriate to commemorate our first ever online order (about time!) with a one-of-a-kind map of the "Territory of Greater D.C.", lovingly crafted by one David Epley. What will we send with the next one? Only one way to find out...
We performed an acoustic version of our song Northern Lights to submit to NPR's tinydeskcontest. Fingers crossed! Thanks to all our friends who helped make this happen.
First show of 2015! Featuring Boston stompers Kingsley Flood and our band crushes Fellow Creatures. We're on first, so don't be late!
