"Maybe you could show me some of your favorite ones then," Candy grins, hopping up the stairs after them, throwing his hands out to his sides to keep his balance. "We could play some together, after all this is over. I’d like to do it now, but I don’t have any consoles myself and there’s no point if the power’s going to cut, like you said."
"I’d like to think domestic animals have more thought processes than them, since from what I can tell they seem to operate on pure instinct," he shrugs, but he decides to give up on his plan. Thoughtless or not, they’d probably end up dragging themselves up the stairs.
He makes a thoughtful noise, thinking back on what happened earlier. “Did they?” he asks, frowning slightly. “I didn’t notice. I was a little preoccupied trying to get my spray can to really pay much attention to it. If you insist, though…”
"If you can figure out how to get to where I live, sure," Caedes sighs, running a hand through their hair. "...You'll have to find it yourself, though. For my own safety."
"...You'd be surprised at what pure instinct is capable of," they say, frowning slightly. "My stomach runs on pure instinct, and look at how far that's gotten it. Wild animals are more dangerous than you think'd think, Candy."
"It doesn't really matter, anyway, as long as we survive." They stop at the top of the stairs, looking around. "...You said the third floor, right? I wasn't keeping track, so... is this the right floor?"
