The amazingly blue blue grotto~ the sunlight shining through the little mouth of the cave illuminates the water and the cavern with a magical hue of blue, its almost as if there's a giant glow-worm under the water lighting up the cave~ i have not used any filters in the photos and vids to show how truly beautiful the colour is in the cave . We took one of the the first boats out to the blue grotto but still had to wait i think around half an hour before it was our turn to be transferred into one of the small rowboats to go in. And once we were in, we were actually in the cave for I think less than 5 mins! We did consider whether it was worth it waiting so long for such a short ride, but in the end its a once in a lifetime opportunity and since we were lucky enough that its open today, we went for it . Due to the cave hole being only 2metres wide & 1metre high, its only accessible with these small rowboats being guided in by the oarsman using a metal chain attached to the cave walls. We had to lie down flat in the boat to not hit our heads at the entrance. And because it is such a small opening, the cave is only accessible when the sea is calm and low tide.
