I know that you all are disappointed after watching episode 4 of The Lover because the kiss didn’t happen. However, I think our disappointment lies in the fact that we are kinda scared that they keep queerbaiting with these two until the very end because it’s South Korea the country we are talking about. We should keep in mind that in every ordinary k-drama we have watched so far, they build up relationships the same way. The main (heterosexual) couple doesn’t usually kiss this early in the drama either. The problem here is that we are afraid that Mnet keeps going with the bromance without ending up in a relationship. That’s why we are so eager, so frustrated and so impatient with this couple.
What keeps my hopes up is their reaction after the almost-kiss. They didn’t play it off like a joke, they showed us that there are feelings. They are scared because they feel weird, they feel something towards each other and they don’t know how to manage that.
Maybe they keep queerbaiting until the end, but imo I think they are building up their relationship slowly. We should be more patient and enjoy every scene they have.
